Maximus must be out of his mind when he said that because there was no way in hell Rania would allow him to step down from his throne.

“Don’t say that.” Rania shook her head, as if Maximus had said the worse thing ever that she had ever heard. “Don’t, please.”

“I want you, Rania, only you, even the entire kingdom can’t be compared to you.” Maximus looked at her deeply. “Don’t you ever think about that again, if you think I want an heir for the kingdom, then I am going to let it go. Get rid of that thought from your head. I will be very mad if you still harbor such thing in your mind.”

Maximus was angry and Rania could feel it through the bond.

“Do you understand me?” Maximus pressed his palms on her cheeks, but Rania averted her eyes from him. “Do you understand me, Rania?”

Rania nodded in the end, but Maximus knew it was not that easy to get rid such thought from her mind. Yet, at least, she knew how serious he was.

“Good.” Maximus kissed her forehead. “Don’t pull yourself away from me. I have been suffering so much in the days because I thought you keep your distance from me.”

Rania felt the same way. “I am sorry.”

“Don’t.” Maximus chuckled. “We need to stop apologizing to each other. This is not good for us.”

Rania was still crying, but she laughed a little when she heard that. “Yes. I agree.”

After this conversation, they felt close with each other again, the rift between them closed in and when they fell asleep in each other arms, they felt lighter than before.

However, when Rania woke up, she couldn’t find Maximus, but she found a note on the side of her bed.

“You are still sleeping, and I don’t want to disturb your wet dream,” Rania read what he wrote on the paper and narrowed her eyes. “Wet dream?” She couldn’t believe he said that word, but despite her grumbles, there was as huge smile on her face.

Yet, it didn’t last for long, because she remembered she had to go to see Eli for Eiten. She didn’t get to teach Eli on how to make a concoction for Bella, therefore she would see her now.

Based on her calculation, the concoction would be finished by the end of this day.

Therefore, Rania got up from the bed and prepared herself to go to the omega’s quarter. She found Eli almost easily, since everyone knew her.

“My queen… I am, I was… I am sorry I ran away yesterday without saying anything…” Eli said in a weak voice, she looked haggard, and Rania knew this was hard on her too, just like how was for Eiten.

“No, don’t apologize.” Rania then added under her breath. “I have heard enough of that…” She spent last night apologizing to each other with Maximus, therefore, she didn’t want to fill today by another apology.

Eli lowered her head when she heard that, because she didn’t know what else to say.

“Come, we are going to learn on how to make a concoction for Bella, right? She must be running out of her medicine, we need to do it now.” Rania didn’t talk about Eiten or what happened yesterday and this made Eli could breathe in relief.

But, before they could leave, Bella ran towards them, she hugged her mother’s leg.

“Can I go with you? I want to go with you. I want to go with you she chanted.

“Sure, you can go with us.” Rania caressed Bella’s head, and at th time, she got an idea, thus she mindlinked Cam, who was coming here with her.

The young warrior would be around, sometime he would be alone or with Lucian, or it would be Lucian without Carn, but Rania would never be left alone on her own device.

And currently, there was only Cam.
