Chapter 298

Rania felt a little bit upset because she was unable to go to the tree that Rona told her. Because of the last attack, Maximu became even more protective with her.

Not only that, Maximus even tried to add more warriors aside from Lucian and Cam, and if it was not for Rania’s strong rejection, she would have a small entourage whenever she went.

The reason why Rania didn’t want to tell Maximus blatantly was because she didn’t want to make him worried, and she didn’t want to have another argumentation with Maximus, since she knew he wouldn’t agree with her decision to keep trying for a pregnancy.

At this point, Rania knew that she had become obsess, but she couldn’t stop herself from wanting a baby of her own. She didn’t want to adopt. She wanted to give a rightful heir to Maximus.

Rania felt she was a failure if she couldn’t do that… but, more importantly… she wanted to be a mother. She had never really thought about it before she met Maximus, but as time went by and there were a lot of things happened, this was the only thing that she wanted.

“Are you ready?” Maximus approached Rania when she stared at the clear sky from the window of their bedroom.

“Oh, yes,” Rania said, she smiled sweetly at him, trying to hide how upset she was. She would find a way to get to the tree later.

Rania took Maximus’s stretched out hand and together they went out of the room.

“You are not in a good mood,” Maximus noticed.

“Of course, I am.” Rania grinned, trying to hide the turmoil inside of her, and she was getting good at doing that, to the point, Maximus didn’t ask about it further.

“Get to the car first,” Maximus said, as he pointed at a black car.

“Okay.” But, Rania saw Rona and Eli.

She was talking to her little sister, since Eli was going to leave. Rania thought both of them would come, but from the way they interacted with each other, Rania knew that was not the case.

Therefore, when Rona was done talking to Eli, Rania approached her and she confirmed that; Unfortunately, Rona wouldn’t come with them.

“I choose to stay here, my queen,” Rona said when Rania asked her.

They were in the front yard. There were three cars that they would use to move to the capital city of the Barlukan, one of the king and the queen, the other one was for the royal gamma and the last one was for the senior warriors, while the other warriors would shift into their beasts and follow them.

“Why?” Rania asked, she wanted Rona to come along with them, because she already felt close to her. “Why don’t you come? Eli and Bella will go.”

However, Rona shook her head. “I know this place holds a lot of bad memories, nightmares and tortures, but this is the only place that I know, this is my home, as weird as it sounds, this is the only place that I can call home.”

I want to argue with her, trying to convince her to come with me, but Rona looked determined with her decision.

“Eli has the royal gamma, she finds her destined mate and she has a purpose to leave this place, but for me, I don’t have it.” Rona smiled at the queen. “It’s not like you will not allow me to see her, right? You will still allow me to see my sister and niece, right, my queen?”

“Of course,” Rania fimmediately said. “You can come whenever you want. You only need to write a letter and I will send someone to pick you up.”

“I am very grateful. I am also very grateful for how generous gamma Eiten is. I don’t want to accept the gift, but he insisted.

Rania knew what Rona meant by a gift. Eiten could be very generous, and because he knew Eli would be worried about her sister living alone here without her, Eiten must have given a lot of money for Rona, so she could live comfortably, which also made Eli stop worrying about her sister.

“Thank you, my queen.”

If Eli, as her sister couldn’t convince Rona to come, let alone Rania.

And with that, Eli and Rona were separated, as the king’s entourage moved to the capital city of the Barlukan. The streets were rather empty, but the damage after the war had been fixed.

For tonight, they chose to stay in one of the inns in Rockblue pack. They would continue the journey tomorrow.

“This room is so big!” Bella jumped up and down on the bed, but Eli immediately caught her and put her down, reprimanded her lightly to behave.

“Don’t do that, Bella. That’s not good.”

“But, the bed is fluffy. I like it.”

“No. You should behave.” Eli was being stern with her daughter, something that she rarely did.

“Okay.” Bella lowered her head, she sat down on the sofa instead and stayed still.

Seeing this, Eiten took Eli to the side, he didn’t want to defend the little one in front of her. “I think you are too harsh, Eli.”

“No, she needs to be disciplined.”

Eiten immediately knew there was something not right. He pinched her chin and lifted her head. “Tell me, what is it? Something is bothering you?”

“Nothing.” Eli shook her head.

“What is it? Tell me. I know there is something bothering your mind.” Eiten wouldn’t let her go without her giving him the

answer.

His worse guess was one of the warriors had said something bad and Eli overheard it. After all, it was also a shock for all the warriors when they learned that their royal gamma had a destined mate an omega from the Barlukan.

Therefore, Eiten wouldn’t put it passed them that they would talk behind his back about Eli, especially when Eli had a child from another man. It was unacceptable.

Well, Eiten was hesitant in the beginning because of it too.

“Nothing, Eiten…” Eli bit her lip, she was still trying to get used to call him by his name only. “I just don’t want Bella to misbehave and embarrass you.”

“She is only a child, she will not embarrass me.” Eiten chuckled, but then he realized there was a deeper problem here. “You

are afraid that she will make a mistake and embarrass me one day, or if Bella will be a burden?”

Eli didn’t answer that immediately, but Eiten could tell that was right. What he said was what Eli thinking at this moment.

“Heaven, Eli.” Eiten widened his eyes in disbelief.

Eli grimaced, she flinched when she realized she had made Eiten was not happy and of course, this gesture didn’t go unnoticed by Eiten. He immediately hugged her, which shocked Eli.

“I will never think that way.” Eiten kissed Eli on the cheek. He knew he had to discuss this matter quickly, or else, this would be a bigger problem one day. “You will never embarrass me. You and Bella will never be a burden for me. Making a mistake is not a sin, Eli. You will make a mistake in one way or another and it will be normal. I make a mistake too, a lot of mistakes. Please, don’t punish yourself for something that you don’t do.”

Eli relaxed a bit. She pressed her face against Eiten’s chest. “I don’t know anything about your world. I don’t want you to be looked down by other people because of me and Bella. I don’t want to drag you down.”

“No one will drag me down,” Eiten said. “No one.” He squeezed her body lightly. “Relax, Eli. It’s okay. I am here. It’s okay to make a mistake too.”

“I am sorry,” Eli said softly.

“Don’t, don’t say sorry. You didn’t do anything wrong.”

Eli felt bad because I was only one day and she had caused a trouble.

Meanwhile, Eiten knew it would be a long way, a very long road to go for Eli to finally stop blaming herself and looked down on herself.

It wouldn’t be easy, but Eiten was ready to walk down this path with his little family.

“What the two of you doing?” Bella approached them because she was left alone. “I want a hug too!” She rushed towards the two of them and Eiten chuckled, he lifted the little one with one arm and then squeezed them both. “I like this!” Bella giggled happily.

The night was long, but Eli was not the only person, who had a concern in her heart, because Rania also felt the same.

She was woken up in the middle of the night and couldn’t fall asleep again, while Maximus was sleeping blissfully next to

her.

His arms wrapped around her body, while his face buried against the crook of Rania’s neck.

Absentmindedly, she raised her hand and caressed Maximus’s head, she kissed him and lingered a little bit longer.

She knew what she was going to do next wouldn’t be acceptable, but she didn’t have other choice. She was scared and her heart was broken, but she knew this was the best way that she could do.
