“Are you feeling unwell?” Kyros asked, caressing Rania’s cheeks lightly because she didn’t talk much ever since they arrived at the Barlukan palace.

Maximus was going to change the name of this place, but he had not yet had time to think about the right name for it.

“No, I am fine,” Rania replied. “I want to look around the place. I am going to ask Eli to come with me.”

“Are you sure?” Maximus kissed her forehead again. Rania’s body temperature was normal, so he thought there was nothing to be worried about.

“Yes, you don’t need to worry about me, I am not a child.” Rania narrowed her eyes at Maximus, who chuckled lightly.

“I know you are not.” He let Rania get up from his lap, as he continued his work.

They just arrived this early morning in this kingdom, but Maximus didn’t even get some rest when he started to work.

Within three days, there would be a lot of people come to this palace and all of them would witness what Maximus had done to the newly conquer kingdom.

At this point, the Aspen Kingdom was the biggest kingdom in this real, but of course, it came with a lot of challenge.

“Where is Eli?” Rania asked.

Eiten was right outside of the door when Rania opened it and was about to go out. The gamma was startled. “She is with Bella in the bedroom.”

“Are they sleeping?” Rania didn’t want to bother them, but she wanted to have someone to take a stroll around the area.

“No, they wanted to take a look the place.” Eiten then realized something. “Do you want to go around too, right? Why don’t you go with her?”

Rania laughed. “Of course, that’s why I ask whether they are up or not.”

And after that Eiten asked a few more favor to Rania. “Eli is still trying to get accustom to the way we live, even though there is nothing to learn about, can you help her with that?”

“Of course,” Rania agreed to it readily, she knew it would be hard to adapt with this new life, even Rania had a hard ume when she arrived at the Aspen palace for the first time, therefore, she knew how hard it was for Eli, since she came from omega status.

Hearing the order, Eiten immediately scurried away to the king’s side, while Rania laughed lightly to see the expression on Eiten and Maximus before she closed the door behind and then walked away to see Eli and Bella.

However, on the way to their bedroom, Rania met with princess Abigail instead.

She had not seen her before, because she just arrived this morning, but she knew about the princess. She and her brothers had arrived a few days ago and their parents would be here tomorrow.

The palace of the Barlukan had been decorated beautifully and thousand of omegas were deployed to prepare the grand

party.

“Queen Rania,” Abigail greeted Rania politely, she bowed her head and bent her legs slightly. “It’s nice to see you, Queen Rania.”

“It’s nice to see you too; princess Abigail.” Rania greeted her the same, but she didn’t lower her head or bend her body, because she was in higher status than her.

“Just call me, Abby,” Abigail said in her melodious voice.

Rania was stunned to see how beautiful the princess was. She was a little bit self aware with herself, especially when she didn’t dress up. She was wearing a simple shirt and jeans right now.

Princess Abigail was young, well, she was still young too, they were about the same age, but the way this princess carried herself, you would know that she was raised by a loving parents and lived a life surrounded by people who will not hurt her.

She wouldn’t know what the word ‘torture‘, not like her…

“Queen Rania, do you want to take a walk with me?” Abigail looked confused because Rania stared at her.

Realizing her unacceptable behavior, Rania gathered her thought and smiled at Abigail. “Sure.”

Rania felt her palms were clammy. She knew this was the right moment. She had been trying to find a way to have a conversation with this princess, but she didn’t know how.

Yet, here she was; the universe had given her the opportunity without her trying. Was it because she was doing the right thing. Was the Moon Goddess really sent this young girl for her and Maximus../for Maximus?

Rania shook her head internally, she was overthinking thing…

“Queen Rania, is there something that bothering your mind?” Abigail asked because she had been talking and asking a few questions, but the queen seemingly had her mind elsewhere.

“I am sorry. I didn’t mean to be rude,” Rania said apologetically, but Abigail shook her head.

“No, please don’t apologize, I know as a queen you must be busy with a lot of things to help with the king. Did I talk too much?” Abigail looked apologetic now.

“No, I didn’t do anything at all, the king will not allow me to even lift a document, because he didn’t want to stress me out,” Rania said jokingly.

“The king must be love you so much,” Abigail gushed. “How it feels to be loved like that, Queen Rania?”

Rania blushed slightly, she liked the thought of it. She didn’t realize it until now, how much Maximus loved her, even though they started all of this in a bad note.

“Call me Rania, it is a little bit awkward when we are at the same age.” Rania said.

“Oh, I can’t do that,” Abigail said immediately, she widened her eyes in shock with Rania’s request. “That will be impolite.”

“There is no one here. I will call you Abby.”

However, Abigail glanced at Lucian and Cam, who came along with them too. The two of them were standing not too far.

“They will be fine, they are okay.” Rania chuckled. “Sometimes, I don’t even realize they are here.”

Cam had become a little bit serious right now, so he didn’t joke around as often anymore, which made Rania miss his boyish side.

Ever since what happened, he became less and less talkative. It hit him harder than Rania thought. She had tried to make Cam talk to her again like usual, but his carefree side was not the same anymore, and he became more formal with her after Lucian looked after him.

Therefore, there was nothing Rania could do.

“Please, call me Rania, I will really appreciate it. At least, only when we are alone,” Rania said.

Hearing that, Abigail contemplated the request and then agreed to it. “Rania,” she said, as if testing the name on her lips.

“Yes. I like it better that way.”

Both of them chuckled and then continued with their discussion. They walked around the palace and visited a few gardens in this area.

Barlukan palace was a beautiful place, especially after there was some renovation here and there after the damage of the war.

And currently, the palace was decorated beautifully for the grand party.

“You didn’t meet with Rania?” Eiten asked in confusion. “I thought Rania was looking for you to walk around the palace.”

“No.” Eli blinked her eyes in confusion because of the question. “Why?”

Eiten frowned. “Nothing.”

He was going to ask Rania about this tomorrow, but then he decided to check on her tonight.

“Where are you going?” Eli looked even more confused when she saw Eiten walked out of the bedroom again after kissing her and Bella.

He just came and was ready for bed, but he left again.

“Just for a while, I want to check on something.”

Eiten then left and went to check Rania. He thought, something bad might happen to her and also, he wanted to know if she was good.

The last thing that he wanted was Rania had a beef with Eli, or she was upset about something at his mate. If that was the case, he needed to clear things up before it escalated.

Eiten knew Eli had been worried about how people perceived her, thus Rania would be the best option to boast her confidence.

“What are you doing here?” Maximus was not happy to see his gamma was standing right outside of his bedroom’s door.

“I want to talk with Rania, just for five minutes, okay?” Eiten flashed his best smile at Maximus, but he should know better that he needed more than a beautiful smile to get on the king’s good side.
