I found a beautiful stone in the pond,” Bella said with excitement, her eyes lit up when her mother smiled at her, but she sensed there was something not right, though she didn’t know what it was. “Mama, isn’t it beautiful?” Bella showed the beautiful stone to her mother, it was the shape of a crescent moon and the color of white,

“Good, now say hi to princess Agnes,” Eli said hastily, she didn’t want to be rude, but she wanted to go out of here as soon as possible.

Bella lifted her head and looked at the princess. “Hi, princess Agnes,” she said in her childish voice, waving her hand at Agnes.

“Waving to a princess considers rude, especially when you come from lower status,” Agnes said ruthlessly. She was not happy with the way Eli talked to her earlier, thus she was taken out on her daughter.

The smile on Bella’s face fell when she heard that and she muttered an apology, as she lowered her head. She was big enough to know that she came from omega and what it meant, though she lost the concept that their rank had elevated to gamma, since Eli was the royal gamma’s destined mate.

“You know what? A rudeness act to a princess should be punished,” Agnes stated, she didn’t show any mercy on the little one, even when it was very clear to see that Bella was scared.

Bella pressed her face against her mother’s thigh, holding onto her tightly, while shaking her head. “I am sorry, I am sorry. I didn’t mean to be rude.”

Eli pushed her daughter behind her out of instinct, she looked at Agnes, didn’t know what to do. “Please, princess, go easy on her, she is only a child,” Eli said, half pleading with her.

She was new to all of this. This was the first time for her to attend such event and met with the other royal family. It had been an overwhelming experience for her the entire night, ever since she stepped in the room.

She tried to blend and not to cause trouble, but why this princess was picking up on her and her daughter?

“I was wrong. I am wrong, please, let go of my child. She didn’t mean to be rude, I was the one who told her to greet you.”

“And that’s your mistake not to teach her well.” Agnes crossed her arms in front of her chest. She lifted her chin arrogantly and looked down on Eli and her daughter. “You should know a proper manner when you stepped inside the ballroom. And more importantly, you should teach your little mutt on how to behave properly.”

Eli held back her anger, this was not the first time she was humiliated. She wouldn’t cry and give this princess a satisfaction of seeing her breaking down, especially not in front of so many people. She didn’t want to embarrass Eiten

even more.

However, princess Agnes’s words were getting more and more vicious. She didn’t shout at Eli, but the venom on her tongue was suffocating.

“What? Should I drag your daughter for a punishment or do you want to discipline her?” Princess Agnes tilted her head, she smiled beautifully.

“I… I will discipline her, I will talk to her after this party and teach her better.” Eli held Bella’s hand tightly. She was stuttering a bit. “I am going to discipline her.”

Princess Agnes nodded in satisfaction. “Fine, but I want you to discipline her now. I want you to slap her.”

“What?” Eli widened her eyes in shock, she lifted her head so fast, she thought she would break her neck. “No.” The answer came very fast. She didn’t need to think whether or not she would want to slap her daughter. She had never laid a hand on

her at all.

Eli even used her body, so those nasty people wouldn’t hurt her daughter, but now this princess wanted her to hurt her daughter?

Hearing the defiant answer, princess Agnes was not happy, the smile dropped from her face, as she stared at Eli viciously. “You don’t want to do what I told you to do?” She raised her brows, and took a step closer.

At this point, there were a few people, who turned their heads to look for the source of the tension. Everyone was shifter here, so of course, they could pick up the mood change in the room.

“No, please. If you want to slap me, I will let you do it, but not my daughter.” Eli pressed her lips tightly, she was holding back her tears. She knew that she would drag Eiten down in one way or another and this proved it.

“You want me to slap you in front of these people? Do you want them to see me in a bad light?” Princess Agness took a step closer again, this time, she was towering above Eli, since she was taller than her.

“Please, princess, let us go this time,” Eli pleaded with her. She got even more anxious when more and more people noticed

them.

The main hall was vast enough to accommodate hundred of people, but none of them that Eli knew. She couldn’t find Eiten too. She didn’t know how to get out of this problem.

“This is why, an omega like you shouldn’t be here, because you don’t have manner.” Agnes’s voice turned very vicious, as she stared down at Eli and Bella.

The little one hid her face behind her mother’s dress, she was so scared, she kept repeating how sorry she was and Eli feit her heart broke to see her daughter was like this.

“You should know your place. A whore like you doesn’t deserve someone like the royal beta Eiten,” she said with a hiss.

“So, who deserve him? Someone like you?”

The voice startled both of them, Agnes immediately turned around to find Rania was staring dagger at her. She didn’t realize the queen was right behind her.

“Why don’t you answer me, princess Agness? Who deserves the royal gamma Eiten? Someone like you?” Rania raised her brows. She held back her anger.

Just some time ago, she managed to escape queen Glyn, she came over here because she heard Eli was here. Her original plan was to take her and Bella to come with her, and escape this party for a while, since she was sure Eli would be too overwhelmed with the crowd.

Yet, she overheard their conversation and to say the least, she didn’t like what she heard at all.

“Don’t you want to bow to me, princess Agnes?” Rania asked through her gritted teeth, her aura was so strong, her presence even demanded the other people’s attention even more.

“Queen Rania, apologize for my rudeness,” princess Agnes had no other choice, but to greet Rania with a deep curtsy.

It is written on princess Agnes’s face on how much she disliked it, but she had no other choice. Rania was the highest rank woman in this room, even more than the other queens, since her kingdom was the largest and the strongest among the other five, no one wanted to mess around with her.

“May I know what this is about? I heard you want royal gamma Eiten’s mate to be punished? For what exactly?” Rania walked slowly, she put herself in front of Eli. From the corner of her eyes, she could see how Bella clung to her mother, crying silently.

Rania wondered what had happened, but whatever it was, it wouldn’t be good. She hated this princess already even before she knew her better.

“No, this is only a discipline. I was talking about manner,” princess Agnes replied, her voice softened significantly in front of Rania, She showed her utmost respect to the queen.

“Manner?” Rania narrowed her eyes. She didn’t know for sure what was going on here, but she could make an assumption based on the way princess Agnes acted.

“Yes, queen Rania. I taught her that it shouldn’t be the way of giving a proper respect to someone who has higher status than her.” Princess Agness straightened her back, she answered Rania’s question with confidence, thinking she was in the right.

“Explain it to me because I don’t think I get it.” Rania lifted her chin, she was a few centimeter shorter than princess Agness, but the aura that she exuded made her look even more prominent than the princess. She carried herself well, like the queen she is.

“It was…” princess Agnes tripped on her words in the beginning before she explained what happened.

She exaggerated some part and Eli wanted to deny it, but she decided not to. She didn’t want to cause more trouble for tonight, especially in front of the queen.

“I didn’t mean any disrespect queen Rania, but I think it is good to discipline the child from a young age, especially when they come from a lower status.”

“And you suggested what?” Rania narrowed her eyes dangerously. “You wanted a mother to slap a child?”

Princess Agness could sense the queen’s rage, her face had turned very red now. “This is a discipline, my queen. I didn’t mean any harm on the girl.”

“Who are you?” Ruby couldn’t hold back her fury, if it was somewhere else, she would have slapped this princess. “Hm?” Agness didn’t get it quick enough, she was confused. “I am a princess from Sladova Kingdom.” “Good.” Rania smirked.
