THE DECISION

The party ended in a good note, aside from the fact that Rania and princess Agnes encounter were on the lips of everyone presence there, because they were not sure what happened, yet they could feel the anger from the queen.

Today would be the busy day for Maximus and Eiten because they were going to hold a meeting related to the new kingdom they just conquest. They would also propose for them to be under the rule of Aspen Kingdom, which made Maximus as the sovereign in this continent.

It was a bold move, but Maximus’s purpose was always clear, he wanted to unite the whole kingdoms like what happened in the past, the peak of the shifter under the Great Kingdom.

Of course, this meeting wouldn’t last only for a day or two, that’s why Rania was tasked to entertain the queens and the princess, since Eli couldn’t hold such responsibility, but she would come with them as well.

“Can you leave her out of it?” Eiten asked Rania in the morning when he came to pick Maximus up.

The king was late and he was still in the bathroom, while Rania was still wearing her night gown, her hair was messy. There was no need for further explanation about why the king was late and the queen looked tired.

“No, she needs to learn, you can’t coddle her all the time, she needs to stand for herself if someone treats her with disrespect like what happened last night.” Rania was stern with with her decision this time, she frowned when Eiten grinned. “What? Don’t give me that look, you are scary.”

Eiten laughed this time, he seemed to be in a very good mood. “I am glad that I have you as a queen! You act like a queen you are and I want to thank you for what you have done for Eli last night. She was worried that you ran into a trouble.”

“Of course not, I will make that princess apologize to Eli. She said she will do it today, so Eli should be there to accept the apology, if she wanted to forgive her.”

Eiten suddenly pulled Rania into a hug. “Oh, I am really grateful you are Maximus’s mate!” Eiten kissed Rania’s cheek, but suddenly he pulled away, very fast until he stumbled on his butt. “Hey! That’s platonic! Platonic!”

Rania didn’t realize it at first, but she turned her head around, she immediately knew why Eiten was panicking.

Maximus was standing behind Rania, killing intent exuded from him. “Kiss her again, I will rip your mouth.”

Eiten raised both of his arms. “Fine, fine, no more kissing, but what about a hug?”

The royal gamma really pushed it. He immediately jumped to his feet and rushed out of the room, while laughing. “I will wait for you at the war room, Max!”

And with that, Eiten vanished behind the door.

Rania chuckled to see the two of them. “What? He is always like that, why are you so work up?” Rania lifted her body slightly to kiss Maximus on the lips.

“I don’t like him to touch you,” Maximus said against her lips. “Only me can touch you. Only me can kiss you.”

“You are being ridiculous. I thought of him as a brother and I am sure, he thought of me the same.” Rania then stood up and jumped slightly to wrap her legs around his waist.

Maximus caught her, he held her on her butt, as he deepened the kiss, he starved for her. He would never get enough of his

mate.

“Still. Seeing you being touched by someone else, makes my blood boiled.” Maximus squeezed Rania’s butt lightly and she moaned against his lips. “Don’t do that, I have an important meeting.”

Rania lifted her brows. “Do what?” She pulled away and looked at Maximus innocently, but there was nothing about her that was innocent.

“Moaning. Making me want to fuck you again,” Maximus groaned, he took his mate to the bed. He laid her down rather roughly.

“You have an important meeting, remember?” Rania chuckled, as she reminded him.

“I know, this will be quick…” Maximus lifted her dress…

“You will be fine,” Rania cheered Eli, she held her hand, as both of them walked towards the garden, where everyone was waiting for them for an afternoon tea and exchanges fey

Well, Rania was not thrilled with this either, because he was herociatarterflies liked she wanted herself to believe.

“About last night…” Eli started. “I am sorry.”

“I bet you have apologized countless times to Eiter last night and he said to you not to, am I right?” Rania slowed down her pace, she looked at Eli with a sweet smile, but Eli had her head bowed down, she missed it.

Rania tucked a strand of hair behind Elf’s car. “Lift your chin up, there is no reason for you to be ashamed. Everyone has their own past, I have told you mine. And it didn’t define me.”

Rania cupped Ell’s face and caressed her cheeks lightly with her thumb.

“We are together in this, okay? I don’t like this gathering either, instead of suffering alone, I take you with me, let’s suffer together, what do you think?” Rania saw the smile returned to as face.

“That sounds weird,” Ell chuckled.

“Well, what to do” Rania shrugged her shoulders. “Let’s go and get it done, I am already imagining my bed.”

“Your bed and the king on it?” Eli was surprised with herself for the comment, but when she saw the way Rania was blushing, she knew that she would be fine.

“Hey, what do you mean with that?” Rania pinched her waist and both of them laughed.

After that, the afternoon tea went rather well. In the middle of it, princess Agnes pulled Eli aside to apologize to her, because she didn’t want to make trouble for his kingdom.

Her father and mother were livid when they learned what happened. It was so rare for them to scold her like that.

“I am sorry, now we are fine, right?” Princess Agnes lifted her chin and still looked down on Eli, even when she apologized to her.

“Yes,” Eli smiled, she didn’t want to prolong the problem and she knew well enough to say that the apology was not genuine, but that didn’t matter,

“Good, you can tell your queen that I have apologized to you, can you do that?” Princess Agnes crossed her arms arrogantly.

“Of course,” Eli could only shake her head to see this princess. This was not the first time for her to encounter someone like princess Agnes, though.

Bella didn’t come with them for this gathering, an omega was with the little one to look after her.

And later when the gathering ended and Eli could see her daughter again, she felt so relief, but she knew this was not the end of it, this was only the beginning.

She had two choices; she could learn on how to adapt to this life, or she could quit and give up on her fated mate.

“Mama, are you, okay?” Bella asked. She kissed her mother to get her attention, because Eli had been spacing out.

“Yes, I am fine, Bella.” Eli kissed her back.

Both of them were in the garden, staring at the sunset. It was a beautiful sight to see, a perfect picture.

“Are you happy, Bella? Do you like this life? Do you like to be here?” Eli asked curiously. She wanted to make a decision and her daughter’s opinion was matter to her.

“Not really, but I like that I can eat meat every day.” Bella then told Eli how delicious the meat this afternoon.

“What if, we can go back and you still can eat your meat?”

Bella furrowed her brows. “Eiten will come with us?”

Eli paused for a while before she answered to that question. “Eiten will not come with us.”

“No Eiten?” Bella pursed her lips and lowered her head. “I want Eiten.”

Right at that time, Eiten walked towards them, he had his arms wide opened and a big silly smile on his lips.

“Eiten!” Bella jumped from the bench and then rushed towards Elten, she raised both of her arms and let Eiten to catch her. She giggled when Eiten carried her up to sit on his shoulders. “Elten, do you know that I have a big meat for this afternoon and I ate a lot!”

“Great! If you want, I can catch a deer for you.”

“No!” Bella laughed when Eiten spun around.

From the bench, Eli realized that she didn’t want to be apart from Eiten too. She wanted him, she wanted this life and even though it came with difficulty, so be it…

It was not like she had never faced with a hardship, right?
