Candy pressed herself against Roana’s back, shielding her from the scorching sun. Roana barely lifted her head, her gaze flickering toward Candy as if seeking comfort. Candy’s fur brushed against her, warm and protective, yet it only made the tension in the air feel heavier.

My blood boiled. They didn’t even release a pregnant woman. From across the arena, Elle looked fragile, pale as bone. Her face contorted with pain, lips trembling, tears brimming at the corners of her eyes. Her small frame shivered with every sob.

“This is outright cowardly, Tyran,” I said, voice calm but sharp enough to cut. “You are still the loser I remember. Always hiding behind someone. And now, you’ve stooped even lower.”

Tyran’s nostrils flared, and his jaw tightened so hard that veins stood out on his neck. His eyes flickered red in the sunlight, a storm barely contained.

“You still have the audacity to talk big in my territory, you bastard. Your two beloved women are with me. Cross the line and I will kill them!”

I took a step forward, the sand crunching beneath my boots, letting my Aura ripple outward subtly. The faint pressure made his claws twitch.

“That’s why you’re a loser. Werewolves thrive on strength and intelligence. You thrive behind shields. Now you’re using a pregnant woman and another She-Wolf to protect yourself from me. Wow.” I clapped slowly, deliberately. A cold, calculating smirk played across my lips.

“Just like you did with your own mate-using her until she died, just to get where you are. Coward.”

Tyran’s face flushed bright red. Memories of his first mate’s death, of her blaming him for her collapse under endless responsibilities, twisted his features. His hands clenched, claws digging into his palms, knuckles white. The slightest mention of her name would make him lose control, and now I was feeding that wound.

“Cassian, I advise you to watch your tongue!” he hissed, voice low and dangerous, every word vibrating with contained fury.

“Why? Will you fight me, or kill a weak pregnant wolf to threaten me? If you’re a man, get your ass down here and fight, instead of hiding behind others!”

With a violent roar, he kicked his chair. It smashed against the wall with a thunderous crack, debris spraying across the arena. Dust and sand mixed in the air, stinging my eyes slightly. I smiled, noting the ripple of his Alpha Aura-the oppressive, heavy force radiating from him like a dark storm, warping the air around his body.

“You son of a bitch! Let’s see what you can do. I will kill you and bury you under this desert. I will conquer your region!”

I laughed, loud and echoing across the arena, letting my Aura flare as well. The air around me shimmered, heat rising from the sand as if in response to my dominance.

Then, a weak, broken sound cut through the tension.

“Cassian…”

My head snapped toward the truck.

Elle was sobbing now. Not loudly, but in sharp, panicked bursts. She curled inward, shaking violently, one hand pressed against her stomach.

“It hurts,” she gasped, voice trembling. “My stomach… it hurts. Please… something’s wrong… Cassian, save me!”

The smirk drained from my face. Genuine worry took over. I moved instinctively toward her. “Elle? What’s wrong?”

Roana, crouched with her hands over her head, gave a scoff. “She’s faking, Your Majesty. Don’t worry her!”

“It hurts!” Elle’s sobs grew, body trembling, small jerks of panic in every motion.

“Elle. Take a deep breath. Stay quiet. I will kill this bastard before taking both of you home!”

“I’m telling you, she’s faking!” Roana’s voice cracked, followed by a hacking cough that rattled her fragile body.

“What are you talking about, Roana? It’s not time for jealousy!” Lorenzo snapped, rushing toward the truck.

Before he could reach them, Marco intercepted, muscles coiling with lethal intent. “Deal with me before touching them. Nobody leaves this territory today!”

Lorenzo smirked, shifting slightly as he flexed. “Atta boy… you’re still as young as a newborn. Are you sure you can win? I am not Keane. Hope you know that!”

His Wolf lunged suddenly, massive and imposing, teeth bared. The wind from its movement whipped sand and dust into my eyes, heat radiating off its fur.

The fight began.

Meanwhile, Tyran advanced toward me, eyes red and fixed. His claws extended slightly, tip catching the sunlight.

“If you win, I’ll let you take one of them home. If you lose, I’ll kill them.” His smirk darkened, teeth glinting in the harsh light. “No-I’ll kill you and take both of them.”

“Na-uh!” He spun suddenly, lithe and terrifying, body squirming and cracking like coiled steel. “There’s a twist. Even if you kill me, you have to choose one!”

My eyes narrowed, teeth clenched. “What do you mean by that?”

“It’s a surprise,” he hissed. In a fluid, brutal motion, he shifted. His Alpha Wolf erupted from him, muscles bulging, bone cracking, fur bristling. His Aura flared like a living shadow, the air around him warping, sand rising in small whirlwinds.
