Have you dreamed of running across the vast green field? The soft grass touching your soles, the cold breeze slamming against your face, and you could barely open your eyes but still felt free? Free from loneliness, heartache, and something that we couldn’t name.
I felt it, like all the weight of my body gradually shifted into something lighter, like flying on clouds.
Just as I thought I was free, from all the pain, agony and constantly pressure of life, Something warm and wet ran over my face.
I flinched, my shoulders jerking faintly.
Then my brows twitched slightly, a reflex I couldn’t stop. The vast green field wavered, then disappeared, snapping me out of the peace I felt.
My eyelids slowly moved, parting away under a sharp light almost blinding me. A dull ache throbbed behind my eyes.
But before I could block the light hitting my eyes, another lick came with a throaty neigh so close that I sucked in a startled breath.
“Wake up, you dumbhead! Something is licking your face!” Rye’s voice snapped me up entirely.

I sat up, my head still reeling, the world tilting for a second before settling again. That was when I noticed my body, soaked and muddy, cold fabric clinging to my skin.
“What just happened?” I whispered, my voice hoarse.
“Look around. I can’t even get out because of your stupid sleep!”
“Stupid sleep? Excuse me?” I rubbed my eyes, trying to clear the fog in my head. We just slipped into that lake and then disappeared. Now where are- oiih!”
I flinched when something bit my dress, a small sharp tug.
That was when something hit my nostrils.
The scent of Candy.
My breath hitched.
I turned, finding her, my snowball, trying her best to get my attention, her ears twitching anxiously.
“Candy? Oh my goodness! You are here!” I jumped on her, hugging her as tight as possible, my arms wrapping around her neck. She made a cheerful noise, rubbing her furry face on my shoulder again and again.
“I missed you, sweetheart! I missed you so much!” I gently stroked her mane, my fingers trembling slightly. Her scent, her warmth, it felt like a warmth I had been crazily searching for.
While I was feeling better, my attention slowly went to the surroundings around us,
My arms loosened. That was when realization struck me, a faint chill sliding down my spine.
This wasn’t the woods I was in. But the same one I saw in my vision. And the scent had disappeared.
“Seemed like the scent was leading us here,” Rye purred.

“Yeah. But where is this place? How did we end up here?” I asked, scanning the surroundings, my gaze moving from tree to
tree.
I remembered I couldn’t look to my right side no matter what.
So I followed my hunch and turned, slowly.
That was when I noticed something far away from this place.
My eyes narrowed.
“Wait… isn’t it the Northern Region’s dead end? We came here before!” I said, walking toward that direction, my steps cautious.
But Candy suddenly bit my clothes, pulling me toward her, harder this time.
“Oh. Calm down,” I said, trying to steady my voice.
But she didn’t.
She started pulling backward, hooves scraping faintly against the ground, trying to take me somewhere. She had that desperation in her eyes as if she didn’t want me to walk away from her.
“Okay. Okay. Let me ride you and take me wherever you want. Okay?” I said, freeing myself from her grip.
She neighed, and her front knees reached the ground to make it easier for me to get on her.
“My Girl!” I chuckled softly and kissed her forehead before riding her.
The moment I rode on her back, my clothes were still wet, cold against my skin, but the temperature was already drying them.
Candy started running right in the opposite direction of the Northern Region. Faster than usual. I held her tighter but didn’t stop her from speeding up.

The wind rushed against my face, tugging at my hair. I couldn’t look ahead because of it.
Then I felt that pressure on my body, the same pressure I had felt when the truck entered that area surrounded by Estelle’s
barrier.
My breath caught.
My fingers tightened in her mane when I realized that I might have stepped into Estelle’s barrier when I tripped.
Otherwise, I couldn’t name this sudden situation.
The world wasn’t dominant in magic. Except the witches and a few blessed people who were loved by the Moon Goddess. Or you could say, the descendants of the Moon Goddess.
The more Candy ran through the vast area filled with crops and grass, the dream of me running through the vast green field slowly appeared again in the back of my mind.
The same wind.
The same endless land.
I didn’t know where she was taking me, but the fact that she had been there, God knows how long, made my chest ache painfully.

I had been having the vision for weeks now. And she had been here since. Was she waiting for me? Did she know that I might come here?
Just as I thought I had no idea where she was heading, the sound of the ocean came soon after.
Faint at first. Then clearer.
My jaw clenched, my heart twitching sharply.
Because I knew this place. I knew where Candy was heading to.
“How did you end up here, Candy? You didn’t come here before!” I asked, my voice low, almost lost in the wind.
She just ran until she suddenly stopped. I froze there for å second before taking a deep breath.
I jumped off her back, my legs unsteady when they touched the ground. My heart skipped as I realized something wasn’t right at all. Candy bringing me to the place where I was held hostage by Keane, gave me a chill I couldn’t name of.
I turned toward the house where I stayed behind.

The strong wind played with my hair, whipping it across my face, but I couldn’t care less. I looked up at the private apartment.
The place where Keane brought me.
The place where I was naively thinking that Cassian hated me and cried for hours until I fell asleep.
My throat tightened.
But why did Candy bring me here? How did she know that there was a single house that looked like a resort? What happened to her when I was gone?
Just as confusion and suspicion were killing me, tightening around my chest, a voice came.
“It took you so long to come here, Your Highness.”
My eyes widened when I turned, my breath stopping for a second.
It was the same man who warned me about Keane. Told me not to trust him.
He was grinning widely, wearing the same shorts I remembered, calmly eating ice cream even though the temperature was dropping.
“It’s you,” I whispered, my lips barely moving.
He shrugged. “I live here. Remember?”
“I know.” My fingers curled slowly at my side. “But what do you mean I took a long time? You were expecting me?”
“That’s right.” He walked toward me, each step unhurried. “For weeks now. Your little horse was insisting on waiting there. Seems like she knew you would be coming.”
“Candy?” I looked at her.
With the wind playing with her mane, she looked like a majestic being, blessing me with her unconditional love.
My chest tightened again.
“And why?” I asked him, meeting his eyes, my voice cold and controlled. ” How did you meet my Candy?”

“Candy? Nice name!” He chuckled, his movements too leisurely to understand the seriousness of my heart.
He looked straight into my eyes and slowly held up his hand.
“Carl Wolfram,” he introduced. “Cassian’s brother and the Alpha of the Greenville Wolf Pack.”
My eyes widened when he introduced himself.
“Cassian’s brother?” My breath shook, ” How is it possible?”
