Divorce and Freedom No More Homemaker for Him novel Chapter 397

Chapter 397 Proof

Ayla unlocked her phone and pulled up a photo she had taken with Draven while they were shopping together.

“Look.”

In the photo, the large supermarket was bright and orderly, shelves filled with neatly stacked goods.

Ayla and Draven wore matching gray casual outfits. They stood side by side in front of a huge shopping cart filled with everyday items, all clearly paired for a man and a woman. Draven stood behind the cart, turning his head to look at her. Ayla looked back at him. Their eyes met, and the warmth between them seemed to spill out of the screen.

It looked completely real.

“Ayla!” The cold mask Troy forced onto his face shattered instantly. The blow hit him so hard his vision went dark. He lost control and raised his hand, about to strike her.

Ayla closed her eyes and clenched her teeth.

A sharp rush of air passed her ear. A loud crash followed as Troy’s fist slammed into the divider inside the car. The impact echoed violently, chilling everyone inside.

Even the driver was stunned and almost hit the brakes. He barely steadied the car, though it still lurched.

The air inside the car froze solid.

Ayla’s face went pale. Tears welled up from sheer fear. Her voice trembled as she asked, “Are you satisfied now?”

Troy had completely lost his reason. His mind was flooded with the feeling of betrayal.

How could Ayla do this? How could she?

He used to wonder why some people screamed when they broke down. He thought it was foolish. What could ever make someone so miserable and pathetic?

But now, he wanted to scream. Just to scream. To rip the pain out of his chest.

It hurt too much. Far too much.

He could barely breathe. Acid burned up his throat, his whole body aching.

eyes turned red as he forced the tears back. He could hardly speak. The blow was more than he could bear. Did the woman who once loved him so deeply know how much he was hurting now? Did she know?

Where was the Ayla who used to do everything she could to comfort him when he was angry? Why could he no longer find her? How could she be this heartless to him?

Why?

Ayla should have listened to him. She should have taken care of his feelings. She should have comforted him, worried about him, and thought about him at all times. She should have gone grocery shopping with him. Not with the man he hated most.

How could she abandon him and choose another man? He had never imagined Ayla would make such a choice.

She had abandoned him.

“Stop the car,” he said hoarsely. His voice was barely louder than a whisper.

The driver did not seem to hear. “Stop the car!” Troy roared.

The driver panicked. They were already close to the hotel, so he floored the accelerator and pulled in hard.

In Ayla’s eyes, Troy’s face had turned an ugly mix of pale and green. Veins bulged on his forehead and hands. His lips were pressed tight, chest heaving as rage brewed like a storm.

Of course he would be furious. Anyone would be. But he should also know that stalking her, abducting her, and threatening her all the way here would provoke her too. They were even.

Once they got out, she needed to find a chance to escape.

As soon as the car stopped, Troy shoved the door open and tightened his grip on her wrist. The pain flared the moment she resisted.

He dragged her forward roughly. The ground sloped unevenly. As he pulled her out, Ayla fell to her knees with a sharp crack. Pain shot through her leg as her skin tore open, blood spilling instantly.

Troy did not stop. He yanked her up with brutal force and dragged her inside the hotel.

The hotel staff froze in shock. Someone tried to ask what was going on, but Troy’s dark expression scared them into silence.

As soon as Troy dragged her away, a staff member moved to call for help. Then several bodyguards appeared and blocked them. No one dared act.

Ayla’s heart sank. These were Troy’s people.

Troy kept walking. Ayla checked her phone with her free hand. Still no signal.

The jammer was on him.

She had no choice but to wait.

Suddenly, Troy stopped and turned around, his face twisted with rage. “Did you sleep with Draven?”

Ayla looked at him.

“Answer me!” Troy snapped. The thought alone drove him mad. His voice dropped to an icy hiss. “Did you sleep with him or not?”

Ayla’s silence pushed him over the edge. His mind was breaking. If she really had been with Draven, he felt he would lose himself completely.

He had been Ayla’s first man. Ayla was his woman. He had given his first time to her. He had never been with anyone else. How could Ayla betray him like this?
