Chapter 554 Settle the Score

The next second, Ayla’s voice cut through the room. “Stop wasting your time with him!”

Jed spun around. Ayla was no longer dizzy or unfocused. Her eyes were sharp and fierce, like a blade aimed straight at his chest.

He froze, then rage and shock hit him at once. “Motherfucker! You played me! Arghhh!”

One of the bodyguards stepped forward and punched him hard in the temple. Stars exploded in Jed’s vision. He stumbled back, clutching his head. The second punch landed right on his nose. Blood burst out instantly, splattering across his face, hands, and the floor.

Then a punch slammed into his stomach. Jed’s face turned pale. Sweat poured down his forehead.

Iris handed Ayla a rope. By the time Ayla took it, one bodyguard had already kicked the back of Jed’s knee. There was a sharp crack.

Enduring the sharp pain all over his body, Jed quickly understood his situation. He had to calm Ayla down first. Everything else could wait. So, he forced himself to beg. “Ayla, I’m sorry. I was too reckless. Actually, Mr. Winston wanted to see you. He asked me to bring you. I just used a faster method.”

“Really?” Ayla looked down at him. Her voice was so cold it made his whole body shiver. “Troy promised me yesterday he would never bother me again. So why would he suddenly want to see me?” Jed froze in shock. “H–How is that possible?”

“You came after me without even doing a proper background check. With skills like that, no wonder Troy gave up on you.” Ayla let out a cold laugh. She tossed the rope to the bodyguards. “Tie him up.”
