Chapter 556 When the Light Fades

Laura was completely shocked. She was so worried she almost panicked. “Mr. Winston, I’ll call a doctor right away.”

“Stay away from me.” When Troy saw Laura, he looked like he couldn’t stand her being there. He just wanted to be alone. He didn’t want anyone bothering him.

But Laura couldn’t do that. She was truly worried about him. There was no way she could watch Troy sink deeper into this state. So, she mentioned Isabella.

“Your secretary just called; she needs to see you. She sounded very urgent. Mr. Bennett is coming with her too. Maybe you should wash up. If they see you in this state, they’ll worry.”

Troy finally reacted. He frowned and looked at Laura. “Why are they coming here?”

Laura was scared of him. She lowered her head and said, “Isabella didn’t tell me; I don’t know.”

“Tell them not to come.” Troy rubbed his forehead tiredly. His mood was terrible. He didn’t want to see anyone. He just wanted to be alone. He didn’t even have the energy to say another word.

“Enough.” Troy didn’t even bother getting angry. He just walked straight to the study.

When Laura saw how stubborn Troy was, she could only worry in silence.

“In the study.” Laura pointed upstairs.

Max glanced toward the second floor. “Let’s go.”

At first, when Isabella saw Max brought a doctor with him, she thought it was unnecessary. When they reached the second floor and saw Troy suddenly push open the study door and walk out, she understood.

They hadn’t seen him for just one day, but he looked terrible.
