Chapter 815 Relationship Worsened

Matilda quickly assessed the situation. She was already certain Bria had come because of Kaleb. There was clearly some kind of history between the two of them. Since Matilda had handled herself well so far, she probably wouldn’t be dragged into it.
She did have a thing for Kaleb, but her career mattered more. Offending someone she couldn’t afford to offend was the last thing she wanted.
So she followed Bria’s instructions on the spot, answering the call. When Kaleb asked how much longer she’d be, she said, “I’m still at the hotel. Bria came by to hang out. She wants to talk.”
After Kaleb said something on his end, Matilda replied, “Okay.”
Then she hung up.
Bria tilted her head slightly, a hint of casual arrogance in her posture. “What did Kaleb say?”
“He’s coming to see me.”
Bria’s hand tightened instinctively. So Kaleb really is worried about Matilda. He’s rushing over this fast?
Bria didn’t say anything else. She just waited for Kaleb to arrive, but the air around her grew even heavier and darker. Matilda and her assistant could both feel it clearly. They were smart enough to know small talk was pointless now. They just waited for Kaleb.
It took less than ten minutes.
Kaleb appeared in the room.
His expression was terrible, and it was obvious he was angry.
The moment Bria saw him, her chest tightened painfully. So Kaleb really does treat Matilda like she’s precious. He rushed over this urgently, and it’s written all over his face. Has he ever been like this for me?
Bria had already been in a bad mood today. Now she realized the one she hated more was Kaleb, not Matilda, who had suddenly appeared by his side. Even without Matilda, there would just be someone else.
As long as someone showed up, Kaleb would still act like this, rushing over, showing concern. There were so many people in the world. Bria couldn’t possibly deal with all of them.
So the one who really needed to be dealt with wasn’t anyone else. It was that damn Kaleb!
Kaleb’s face was icy. From the moment he walked in, he didn’t spare Matilda a single glance. His eyes were locked on Bria. “Bria, come with me.”
Bria had come here for Kaleb in the first place. She wanted his attention on her, not on anyone else. Now that he was here, she had no interest in dealing with Matilda anymore.
She smiled and nodded, “Sure.”
But there wasn’t a trace of a smile in her eyes.

Bria followed Kaleb out to a place with no one around.
The irritation in Kaleb’s eyes was obvious. “Bria, are you done causing trouble yet?”
Bria clenched her fingers. “You’re not actually into Matilda, are you?”
Kaleb gritted his teeth. “Who I’m into has nothing to do with you. Stop interfering in my work and my life again and again. Can’t you see how much I hate you?”
Kaleb’s words cut deep, but Bria only wanted to throw the pain right back at him. “Kaleb, I told you I’d make your life miserable. I’m going to haunt you, make it so the only pain you feel comes from me. I’m just doing exactly what I said I would. Why are you reacting so strongly?”
Kaleb said, “You’d better-”
Bria snapped, her temper flaring. “Don’t bother threatening me. I saw you give Matilda roses with my own eyes. Let me warn you: stay away from her from now on, because I don’t mind ruining her life. If her career gets destroyed, it’ll be because of you. And don’t think I’ll let you off either, Kaleb. If you dare fall for her, I won’t make it easy for you. You’re mine. You’re not allowed to fall for anyone else!”
Kaleb was so furious that he couldn’t even speak. Bria could do whatever she wanted to him, and he could keep enduring it, but if anyone else got hurt because of him, that was something he absolutely couldn’t
accept.
And Bria was exactly the kind of person who would do something like that. She was completely unreasonable, capable of anything.
As for the roses, they’d been sent over by Matilda’s friend. Kaleb had only passed them along. The flowers had nothing to do with him.
But he had no intention of explaining any of that to Bria. Explaining it would feel like giving in to her.
The more forceful and overbearing Bria became, the less Kaleb wanted to back down.
