Divorce Him, Then Dazzle novel Chapter 307

Camilla violently jolted.

The moment his mouth crushed against hers, an electric jolt of pleasure erupted in her chest and shot down to the tips of her fingers.

Her memories of their past encounters were hazy, chaotic fragments.

She knew intellectually that they had happened, but she couldn't remember the physical sensation.

Now, fully awake, it hit her all at once. So this was what kissing him felt like.

She was trembling, entirely swept up in the maddening, beautiful thrill that short-circuited her brain.

Nothing existed except the man above her and the punishing softness of his lips.

He hadn't even deepened the kiss yet.

They were both suspended in that agonizingly sweet tension.

But a second later, Lambert abruptly tore himself away.

The crushing weight vanished, and the source of that intoxicating warmth was gone.

She opened her eyes, staring blankly up into his impossibly dark, stormy gaze.

Her own eyes were glassy, practically glazed over with desire. She looked up at him with an innocent yet sinfully alluring expression, like a silent, desperate invitation.

Lambert's Adam's apple bobbed sharply, his breathing growing even more ragged.

He couldn't do this.

No matter how much of a little menace she was, he could never bring himself to use intimacy as a weapon to punish her.

Their first real kiss was supposed to be a beautiful memory.

Not a disciplinary tactic fueled by anger.

Even though he knew this kiss was still laced with his deep affection and warmth.

He forced himself to stop.

Her clothes were rumpled.

Lambert sat on the edge of the bed, chest heaving as he fought for air.

Camilla awkwardly averted her eyes, instinctively pulling her collar up to cover her chest.

"Camilla..."

He sounded like he was speaking through clenched teeth.

She froze.
