Divorce Me I'm Done Serving You (Ayla and Troy) novel Chapter 635

Chapter 635 In the Dark Room

Draven pushed open the door to a private room It was empty. He guided Ayla inside.

Bang!

The door shut behind them.

The room went completely dark. Now, only the two of them were inside.

The curtains blocked out all the light. With the door closed, it was almost impossible to see anything.

Ayla lifted her hand, trying to find the light switch. But before she could, a warm hand caught hers and pressed it gently against the wall.

She tried to pull away, but Draven was stronger.

Ayla knew he would never hurt her. Still, her heart pounded as she stood in a dark room with a man she hadn’t seen for three months.

Her senses became sharper than usual. He was standing right in front of her, his hand still covering the back of hers. Ayla took a slow breath. As her eyes adjusted, she could finally make out the outline of his face. She looked toward his eyes. “What did you want to talk about?” she asked.

They had once been so close. Now, even talking felt careful and uncertain. Neither of them knew what the other might say. One careless sentence could hurt.

Because of this, Ayla only asked the simplest question.

Soon, Draven spoke. “Ayla, there’s a lot I want to say to you, but I don’t know where to start.”

His voice sounded just as warm and familiar as before. Ayla’s throat felt a little dry. “You can start with the most important thing.”

But Draven didn’t answer right away. He asked quietly, “Don’t you have anything you want to say to me?”

Ayla paused,

A moment later, his other hand lifted and rested softly against her cheek. His palm was warm. She could feel every slight movement of his hand. Goosebumps spread across her skin, and her body grew tense.

“Nothing you want to say?” Draven asked softly again.

That uneasy, dangerous feeling came back. If she stayed silent, she felt like prey standing in front of a hunter.

After a short pause, Ayla finally spoke. “Yes.”

“What is it?” Draven said gently. “Tell me. I want to hear it.”

Ayla pushed aside the strange feeling and lowered her voice. “After we broke been doing okay?”

Draven asked softly, “What about you? Have you been okay?”

Ayla thought about the past few months. It would be a lie to say it hadn’t been hard. But she still forced herself to sound calm. “I-I’m doing alright now.”

Draven slowly moved his hand away. “I haven’t been doing very well,” he said.

Ayla’s heart dropped at once.

He seemed to know she might worry or blame herself, so he quickly added, “Don’t worry about me. I’m fine. But I’ll be heading back to Zheron soon.” He paused for a moment. “Probably about two days before the party.”

Ayla had no idea about any of this.

There are usually two moments when a breakup hurts the most. The first is the moment the relationship ends. The second is when the other person begins a new relationship.

Draven didn’t have someone new, but he was leaving Trensea.

In some ways, that felt just as painful. It was another kind of goodbye-one that was hard to accept.

Before this, Ayla could still imagine running into Draven somewhere in the city. Trensea wasn’t very large. If fate allowed it, their paths might cross again. But if he moved to another city, the chances of meeting again would become slim.

Maybe they would never see each other again.

For a moment, Ayla couldn’t even process the news. It hit her so suddenly that she felt dazed. The pain rising in her chest was so strong she almost couldn’t bear it,

Draven spoke again. “Is there anything you want to say to me?”

What he didn’t say out loud was simple-if she asked him to stay, he would stay.

But Ayla couldn’t hear the thoughts in his heart. Draven leaving Trensea meant only one
