Divorce Me I'm Done Serving You (Ayla and Troy) novel Chapter 924

Andrew couldn't stomach his father's betrayal. It was like the happy little bubble he'd lived in had suddenly burst.

He had always respected and trusted his father unconditionally. But his father wasn't fully on his side and wasn't fully protecting him. That kind of thing hurts, especially when it's your own father.

The emotional blow hit him hard. He was in such a bad state that he nearly lost his life because of the illegitimate child.

Fortunately, Bria had his back.

She was tough, resourceful, and quick to react. In the end, the illegitimate child lost an eye and lost the fight.

Andrew's father was furious. The situation had grown too big for Bria to handle alone, so she had no choice but to bring her family into it.

Bria definitely had guts—and she wasn't afraid to be ruthless—which was why things escalated so badly.

After learning the full story, Troy didn't blame Bria. Of course, he still had to step in and deal with it. He told her to stay out of it from that point on and promised he would take care of everything.

True to his word, Troy handled it decisively and quickly. He managed to calm Andrew's father down, and Andrew came out of it unharmed.

As for the illegitimate son? His eye injury knocked the wind out of his arrogance, and for the time being, he couldn't cause any more trouble.

Everything that happened with his family changed Andrew. He dropped his usual slacker, carefree attitude and became much more grounded and serious.

Overall, things turned out fairly well, but Bria was grounded.

She was confined to Winston Estate for a month. No internet. No TV. No housekeepers. She had to cook her own meals and help with farm work. It was exactly the same punishment she had received from her grandfather after getting into trouble with Ayla.

For Bria, it felt like the end of the world. That miserable month was so terrible that she never wanted to talk about it again.

Because the punishment had been so unbearable, the moment Bria was finally released, she wanted to get back at Ayla. Of course, she didn't dare do anything to Ayla directly, so she took her frustration out on Kaleb and hired people to beat him up. She got nothing out of it—and that reckless outburst was what first tangled her complicated connection with Kaleb.

Anyway, the past was too ugly to revisit. Right now, she had a new misery to deal with.

Bria felt absolutely miserable.

Maybe it was because she was in love, but she had become even more spoiled than before.

Whenever she acted cute around Kaleb, he'd obediently do whatever she wanted. When it came to meals, she only had to open her mouth. When it came to getting dressed, all she had to do was hold out her arms.

She was used to being pampered and never had to worry about anything. Now, she had to cook for herself...

Ahhh! I don't even know how to cook! Why is this happening to me?

The contrast was brutal. As she ate her bland, boiled veggies, she was on the verge of tears.

God, I've never missed my boyfriend this much in my life. I miss Kaleb so badly my heart actually hurt!

But Bria didn't want Kaleb to come to find her. Before disappearing, she'd told him that she was going away for family training and wouldn't be able to contact him. Kaleb had completely believed her story.

Bria thought, Every day felt like a year!

No, every second felt like a year!

My God, only three days?

Are you kidding me?

There's no way I can survive this!
