**TITLE: Dreams Refuse Gravity by Leo Arden Knox
Chapter 118 Same Fate**
**Lucky Draw**
The man approached with an air of sophistication, clad in a sharply tailored black suit that hugged his form perfectly, complemented by a crisp white shirt that gleamed against the dim backdrop. The resemblance between him and Sebastian was unmistakable; their shared facial features served as a constant reminder of their familial bond, a bond that felt more like a chain than a connection.
Since the passing of Audrey, Sebastian’s mother, Gregory had forsaken all colors, draping himself exclusively in black and white. It was as if the vibrancy of life had been drained from his world, leaving only shadows in its wake.
“What’s up? Surprised to see me?” Gregory strolled towards his son, a gentle smile gracing his lips, as though he were an old friend rather than a father.
To Sebastian, however, that smile radiated a deceptive charm, akin to a venomous snake revealing its fangs, sending a shiver of unease down his spine.
Despite the facade of normalcy his father maintained, Sebastian was acutely aware of the madness that had taken root in Gregory’s mind following his mother’s death.
“What do you want?” Sebastian’s voice was cold, each word laced with a layer of frost.
“Well, my son has a girl he likes. So I figured I’d show some concern,” Gregory replied, a lazy smile still plastered on his face, as if he were discussing the weather rather than his son’s affection.
Sebastian pressed his thin lips together tightly, a storm brewing within him. He had managed to have the trending topic about his feelings for Riley taken down earlier that morning, but the remnants of its existence lingered like a bad memory.
It was clear to him that Gregory had caught wind of it.
As for the “girl he likes,” Sebastian wasn’t entirely sure what “liking” truly meant, but one thing was certain: he wanted Riley to remain by his side, now and always.
Noticing the heavy silence that hung between them, Gregory broke it with an unexpected question, “What, do you think you’re not in love with her?”
Sebastian shot him a glare that could cut through steel. “Whether I love her or not is none of your business. But if you dare to lay a finger on her, you will regret it!”
Gregory erupted into laughter, a sound that echoed in the air like a sinister melody. “Relax, I won’t harm Riley. After all, you are our son, hers and mine. I’m merely curious about how this will all unfold for you!”
The “hers” he referred to was, of course, Sebastian’s mother, Audrey, whose memory lingered in the air like a ghost.
As he spoke, Gregory reached out, his hand landing heavily on Sebastian’s shoulder, a gesture intended to be comforting but felt more like a shackle. “Don’t worry. Even if you’re not in love with that girl right now, once you feel that desire, it will consume you. You’ll fall for her, just like I did.”
“And when you’re in love, you’ll come to understand my feelings. You’ll want her beside you at all times. If she so much as glances at another man, you’ll feel an overwhelming urge to eliminate anyone who threatens your claim, to keep her locked away where only you can see her!”
Gregory’s voice reverberated in Sebastian’s mind, dark and foreboding.
Sebastian looked at the man before him with a mix of disgust and defiance. “I am not you. I will never be like you!”
Gregory sneered, a mocking glint in his eyes. “You’re my son. The obsession of the Torres family courses through your veins. You will inevitably end up just like me, yearning for what you cannot have, spiraling into madness!”
Sebastian’s patience wore thin. “Enough! If that’s all you have to say, then leave!”
Gregory appeared unfazed by his son’s outburst. “But from the photos in that trending topic, it seems the girl doesn’t love you. Winning her over won’t be an easy task. But…”
He paused, his fingers brushing lightly across Sebastian’s face, a gesture that felt invasive.
“Your features are the perfect blend of both your mother and me. Especially your eyes. They mirror your mother’s so closely. Use those eyes and your physique to your advantage; I’m certain she’ll be captivated by you.”
Sebastian’s anger flared, and he suddenly seized his father’s wrist, the grip firm enough to break bones if he chose to.
“I’m merely offering fatherly advice. Why waste your good looks? Yet here you are, threatening to break my hand?” Gregory raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence.
