**TITLE: Dreams Refuse Gravity by Leo Arden Knox**
**Chapter 133: The One He Remembered**
**Lucky Draw**
“From this moment forward, anything you desire—I’ll make it happen. Whatever you wish for—I will provide it. Just… please, don’t put yourself in such danger again. For you, Riley, I would go to any lengths.”
His voice was a low murmur, gravelly and filled with a weighty promise, each word resonating like a sacred vow.
Riley found herself captivated, her heart racing as she stared at Sebastian, her mind struggling to comprehend the sincerity in his gaze. He wasn’t jesting—he was utterly earnest.
Then, with a tenderness that sent shivers down her spine, he lowered his head and pressed a soft kiss to the back of her hand, a gesture so intimate it felt as if time had paused.
“Riley,” he breathed, his voice barely above a whisper, “don’t walk away from me. No matter what happens.”
A short distance away, Bryce stood frozen, his body rigid as he observed this unfolding moment. His complexion had drained of color, as if he were watching something precious slip away, irretrievable.
The sight of Sebastian holding Riley so closely ignited a tumult of emotions within him—a fierce, almost primal urge to wrench her from that embrace and reclaim her for himself.

“Bryce!” Bella’s voice sliced through the haze of his thoughts, snapping him back to the present. He turned to face her, feeling a mix of irritation and urgency.
“Riley really is something else, isn’t she?” Bella scoffed, her tone dripping with sarcasm. “She managed to drag Sebastian into the ocean with her. What a spectacle! With all the media around, she must have known it would make headlines.”
Bryce felt a surge of frustration bubble within him. Was she truly suggesting that Riley had orchestrated this for attention? Who, in their right mind, would willingly plunge into treacherous waters just to garner publicity?
No—Riley had risked her life, plain and simple.
“She’s just acting for the cameras,” Bella continued bitterly, her voice now grating against his ears like nails on a chalkboard.
“That’s enough, Bella,” Bryce interjected sharply, cutting her off mid-sentence. “Riley saved a child’s life today. Just like you once saved me. Or do you honestly believe you jumped into that river solely for the spotlight?”
Bella froze, her expression hardening, a flicker of indignation crossing her features.

“How can you even draw a comparison?” she snapped, her voice laced with anger. “There were no reporters around when I saved you.”
“There were plenty of witnesses,” Bryce argued, his tone growing more intense. “Yet, Riley was the first to leap into action. Why did no one else, who was closer to the water, even bother to move? Are you saying she was the only one seeking attention in that crowd?”
Bella’s brows knitted together, confusion and anger battling in her expression. “Are you actually defending her now?”
“I’m not defending her,” he replied, frustration creeping into his voice. “I’m just laying out the facts.” He locked eyes with her, a storm of conflict swirling in his gaze. “Bella… back then, you didn’t hesitate. You jumped into that river to save me without a moment’s thought. But today, when a child was in danger… you tried to stop me from helping. Why is that?”
A flicker of panic washed over Bella’s face, her composure faltering. “What exactly are you implying?”
“I’m not sure,” Bryce admitted quietly, his voice softening. “It’s just… you don’t seem to be the same person I once knew.”
The girl he remembered had been brave, selfless—the one who had risked everything to pull him from the depths. The one who had held him close when he was barely conscious, fighting for his life.
