Chapter 279 Rope Burns
“Come on, let’s order. Get whatever you want,” Lara said, changing the subject.
Shawn didn’t hold back. He grabbed the menu and started ordering the most expensive dishes, making Lara wince a little at the prices.
Soon, the food started arriving at their table.
Lara ate while thinking about how to negotiate with Shawn about last night.
The main question was… after she tied his hands with that tie, what else had happened? They didn’t actually sleep together, right? She woke up this morning still fully dressed.
She chewed her food and found herself staring at Shawn. Watching him eat always amazed her. This was what a perfect gentleman looked like.
His face had that untouchable, refined quality, and his movements were so elegant. Everything about him was pleasing to watch.
He carried himself with the calm confidence that came from old money and good breeding.

It made her feel like they lived in completely different worlds.
Compared to him, she was probably just new money. If Lara hadn’t gotten lucky and caught that business opportunity, she’d probably still be some ordinary office worker making barely enough to get by.
Sure, she had made some money and people called her a CEO. But compared to Shawn, she was still nothing.
That watch on his wrist alone cost tens of millions. Even with her money, she couldn’t afford something like that.
Suddenly, Lara squinted and noticed something else on Shawn’s wrist besides the watch. There were obvious red marks.
The watch covered part of them, but she could still see some red marks peeking out. Those marks looked like rope burns or something.
Wait, rope burns?
Lara’s eyes went wide. Oh god, could those red marks be from last night when she tied him up with her necktie?
“Why are you staring at my wrist like that? You like the watch?” Shawn’s voice suddenly cut through her thoughts.

“Who said I like your watch? I’m looking at those red marks on your wrist,” Lara said without thinking.
As soon as the words left her mouth, her face turned red with embarrassment.
“Really? Then take a good look,” Shawn said. He took off his watch and rolled up both sleeves.
Now Lara could see the red marks on both wrists clearly.
Looking at those obvious marks, Lara felt a wave of guilt wash over her. Damn, she must have tied him up pretty tight last night.
“Um… sorry about that,” she said awkwardly. Then she added, “But why didn’t you fight back?”
In the video, he was pinned under her, but she didn’t see him resisting at all.
“I was drunk. I couldn’t fight back,” Shawn said simply.
Lara wanted to roll her eyes. Bullshit!
He had deliberately positioned his phone to record the video. Even if he was a little drunk, he wasn’t too wasted to resist.
“So last night, after the video, what else did I do to you?” she 3/6

asked, pushing down her skepticism.
“You kissed me and touched me all over. Then you whipped me with a belt-”
Lara nearly choked on her food. “I whipped you with a belt?”
“Yeah. I should still have marks on my chest. Want to see?” Shawn said.
It seemed like if she said yes, he’d strip off his shirt right there.
“No, no need,” Lara said quickly.
“So you really don’t remember what you did to me last night?” Shawn stared at her intently.
His sharp gaze made Lara feel guilty. “I was drunk too. My memory is kind of fuzzy,” she said.
“Should I tell you exactly what you did to me last night?” Shawn asked.
“No need. Just tell me what you want to do about this!” Lara took a deep breath like she was preparing for the worst.
“If my girlfriend did these things to me, I’d call it foreplay,” Shawn said calmly. “But since you’re not my girlfriend, I could charge you with sexual harassment.”
