Chapter 294 Two Similar People
After playing a few rounds of bridge, Riley saw one of her target individuals heading toward the restroom.
She said to Vince, “I’m going to the restroom.”
“Okay,” Vince replied.
Riley followed her into the bathroom. Based on what Sebastian told her, this woman had worked there for six years. She started in the factory area and only moved to the casino two years ago.
If Riley wanted to dig up some dirt, this woman might be perfect.
Just as the woman passed through the hallway, she suddenly paused, staring distractedly at several people in front of the elevator.
Riley halted and followed the woman’s gaze.
At that moment, the elevator arrived on their floor, and the doors slowly opened. The person at the front stepped into the elevator.

Riley only caught a glimpse of the person at the front, but that one glance made her freeze.
Even from a distance and only a side profile, it made her blood feel as if it were boiling.
Is that… Samuel?
Riley’s eyes widened, and the next moment, she rushed toward the elevator.
“Wait!” she shouted.
But two security guards blocked her at the elevator.
“Move!” Riley yelled, charging straight at them and knocking them down.
But the elevator doors were already sliding shut. The last thing she saw was Samuel’s face turned toward her, staring right at her with empty/eyes, like she was just
some stranger.
Did I mistake someone else for him?

The man she had just seen was dressed in a suit, exuding an air of nobility, completely different from the Samuel in her memory.
Moreover, his appearance seemed more mature than the Samuel she remembered.
But no matter what, she had to find out.
Riley watched as the elevator descended and stopped on the first floor.
She didn’t think twice, just bolted for the stairs and ran all the way down to the first floor.
When she hit the lobby, she spotted a guy who looked just like Samuel walking out of the casino with a bunch of people around him.
I can’t let him leave just like this!
Riley tried to chase after him.
But then, a voice rang out. “Stop her! She attacked our people!”

Over a dozen casino security personnel charged toward Riley.
Riley quickly fought back, but there were too many of them, and they were strictly trained and quite skilled.
For a moment, Riley was embroiled in a chaotic fight.
The commotion, however, did not catch the man’s
attention.
Watching the man disappear from her sight, Riley felt a surge of despair.
Did I really just miss Samuel?
If I miss him now, when will I ever have another chance?
And she can’t even be certain if that was really Samuel.
While Riley was distracted, a security guard’s fist struck her shoulder hard.
She stumbled back a few steps, blocking another incoming punch but unable to avoid the attack from hehind.

The sound of fists colliding echoed, but the expected pain never came–Vince had blocked the attack for her.
“Rye, what’s going on?” Vince asked.
“I saw my brother,” Riley said in a thick Carmel accent.
Though Vince wasn’t from Carmel, he’d served with guys from there in the military, so he could understand the accent when Riley used it.
Now Vince got why Riley, who usually played it safe, suddenly lost it and started throwing punches in the
casino.
When he saw security closing in again, Vince pulled out the casino’s special black gold card from his pocket.
In the casino, that card represented status.
“This is just a misunderstanding,” Vince said.
“Even if you’re a VIP, you must follow the casino’s rules,” the leader said. ” Apprehend them!”

Vince frowned.
Just then, Sebastian’s voice suddenly rang out. “Even if they’re my people, you still want to apprehend them?”
Riley spun around to see Sebastian walking into the casino with his security team, facing down the casino guards.
The security chief recognized Sebastian right away and stepped up. “Mr. Torres, are they your people?”
“She is, but he isn’t.” Sebastian pointed at Riley, then at Vince. “I’m taking them both out of here anyway.”
“But they caused trouble in the casino. It’s a matter of breaking the rules. If we let you take them away so easily, what kind of message would that send?” the security chief asked.
Sebastian pulled out his phone and made a call. “It’s me, Sebastian. I need to get two people out of your casino. I’ll bump your profits up by 0.3%.”
