Chapter 333 A Collaboration
Lucky Draw
“What?” Riley was startled. “The Lincoln family from Russia?”
“Obviously, or why would I be telling you? Zane’s going
to be one of the people representing the Lincoln family in Washington. They’re coming here because of a partnership with the Torres family,” Lara explained.
“The Torres family is working with the Lincoln family?” Riley was even more surprised.
“Yeah, it’s pretty sudden. Apparently the Torres family reached out first and invited the Lincoln family to discuss a partnership,” Lara said. “When the Torres family extends an olive branch like that, the Lincoln family obviously isn’t going to say no. They should be arriving in Washington in a few days, which means you won’t have to make that trip to Russia after all.”
Riley thought about it for a moment. Was this just a coincidence? The Torres family suddenly inviting l family right before she was supposed to go to Russia seemed suspicious.

“Do you think Sebastian deliberately created an excuse to bring the Lincoln family here so you wouldn’t have to travel to Russia?” Lara asked.
“If two families are doing business together, it must be a big deal with a lot of money involved. I don’t think he’d go that far just to

“Other people might not, but you never know with the Torres family.” After all, everyone in Washington knew the Torres family were known for being extreme.
Plus, even though Riley claimed she and Sebastian had broken up, he’d still chartered a plane to fly back from Germany for her. And now he’d taken her to his private island. That didn’t exactly look like someone who’d accepted the breakup.
“By the way, when are you coming back?” Lara asked.
“In about two days,” Riley said. That was assuming Sebastian actually kept his promise and sent her home.
“Okay, I’ll be waiting for you,” Lara said.
After the call ended, Riley opened her phone and started searching for news about the partnership between the Lincoln family and the Torres family.
Sure enough, there were plenty of articles about it. The Torres family was pursuing a partnership in new energy. They were currently moving into the electric vehicle industry and were considering the Lincoln family as a supplier of electric car batteries.
This was a lucrative deal, and plenty of battery suppliers had their eyes on it.

The Lincoln family was in that business too, so naturally, they’d want a piece of it.
As soon as the Torres family put out the word, the Lincoln
family immediately made plans to come to Washington for negotiations.
Riley looked at a photo in the news of Benedict, the current head of the Lincoln family.
He was in his sixties with graying hair and a few wrinkles on his face, but she could still tell he’d been handsome in his youth. He wore a nice suit and had a sophisticated demeanor.
It was rare for a man like him to never have married. If Zane wasn’t counted as his “illegitimate son,” he didn’t even have any children. But he wasn’t gay either, and there had never been any news about him having a male partner online.
It was like he was completely disconnected from romance.

This time, Zane wasn’t coming to Washington alone. would be coming to Washington too. If Riley decided to acknowledge Samuel, she’d probably meet Benedict as well.
Meanwhile, after Lara ended her call, she checked the time and drove straight to the club where she’d hired male escorts before.
“I need to see Carl,” Lara told the club manager directly.

The manager raised an eyebrow. “So Ms. Hayes, you have taken a liking to Carl?”
“You could say that,” Lara replied.
“But I heard you are Mr. Morris‘ girlfriend. If you’re sneaking around behind his back to see other men, I’m worried about
said what I’ll tell Mr. Morris when he finds out,” the manager with a troubled expression.
After all, very few people in Washington dared to offend the Morris family. The four major law firms in Washington all followed the Morris family’s lead. If people crossed the Morris family, they’d be drowning in lawsuits for the rest of their lives.
“He won’t find out,” Lara said impatiently.
“But…” The manager looked uncomfortable.
“But what?” Lara snapped.
“Mr. Morris already contacted us and told us we’re to let you hire any male escorts,” the manager said.
llowed
Lara nearly choked on her own breath.
Shawn was being way too controlling. They were only contract boyfriend and girlfriend, but he was actually trying to dictate whether she could hire male escorts or not.

“I just want to see Carl. I’m not hiring him!” Lara said irritably.
said “Ms. Hayes, please help me out here. If you actually meet with Carl, Mr. Morris will come after our club,” the manager miserably.
Just then, a commotion erupted from a nearby private room. The door flew open, and a man’s voice shouted out.
“I don’t sell myself! I only serve drinks!” the man yelled.
A woman’s voice rang out in response. “If you’re not selling, then what are you doing working as a male escort? I’m having you tonight whether you like it or not. Don’t worry, honey, I’ve got plenty of money! Grab him!”
The young man ran in Lara’s direction, and two men and a woman chased after him.
Lara looked closely and realized the man running toward her was Carl, the exact person she’d been looking for.
“Carl,” she called out.
