Divorced My Cheating Husband, Married A Billionaire novel Chapter 121

After sharing the excellent news with Renee, the couple returned home to convey the same information to Abner.

They had an early dinner, and after they finished their meals, Adrian said, “Grandpa, we can finally kick you out of the house.”

Adrian seemed serious initially, but he soon smiled when Abner looked at him wide-eyed. Abner asked, “You mean to say Riley is pregnant?”

“Yes,” Adrian confirmed. “You are going to be a great-grandfather.”

“Do you mean it?” Abner asked, still looking doubtful. “Or are you that excited to kick me out of your house?”

Riley cracked up. She almost cried with delight at Abner’s reaction. She said, “Yes, Grandpa. I am pregnant, but we are still in the very early stage. However, Adrian and I agreed to take good care of the baby. So, we are very positive about this.”

“Yahoo!” Abner stood up with his arms raised. His eyes glistened from the tears of joy as he exclaimed, “Thank you, heavens! Thank you for answering my prayers!”

“This is such a great news! Let me tell your father.” Abner took out his phone and texted Anthony. After that, he turned to the kitchen’s direction and called, “Linda! Rose! Riley is pregnant! I will be taking care of a little King after nine months!”

Linda and the cook emerged from the kitchen, also jumping for joy. They each congratulated Riley and Adrian before going back to work.

Following that initial celebration, Abner let out a sigh. He said, “I can finally take my long-planned vacation.”

“No one was stopping you, Grandpa. You should travel the world with your friends like you have been doing in the past,” Adrian suggested.

“Yes! Yes!” Abner agreed. “I will buy my great-grandchild many gifts from all over the world, but wait, when will we know the baby’s gender?”

Riley and Adrian looked at each other. Eventually, Adrian answered, “In four months or so.”

Abner frowned. He considered, “Tsk. Tsk. Four months? How can I buy gifts for my great-grandchild if I don’t know the gender?”

“Yes, ma’am,” her assistant said on the phone.

After instructing his assistant, the woman replayed the video again, her hands trembling against the laptop.

Just as she was watching intently, a man entered the study. He asked, “What are you doing here? This is my study.”

The woman got up in a panic. She carelessly closed her laptop, saying, “I - I’m sorry. I just need a private space -”

“You have your own room. That is your private space,” The man said curtly. “What was that you were watching?”

“Nothing. Nothing,” the woman said in a rush. She brought her laptop and hurriedly walked to the door. Before leaving, she paused and asked, “Why do you treat me this way? What am I to you?”

The man looked her in the eye and replied, “We already had this conversation. I am grateful for what you have done for my daughter, but there is nothing more.”
