Divorced My Cheating Husband, Married A Billionaire novel Chapter 94

"Mr. King," Clint said before whispering to Adrian's ear.

Adrian's assistant reported what had happened in Brian Martin's life. Hearing the story, Adrian's brows met. Then, he laughed.

"Brian got married, huh?" Adrian muttered. He shook his head and said, "Never mind. If he were wise enough to think with his head and not with his dick, he wouldn't have been in this situation in the first place."

As much as Adrian wanted to deal with Brian and Claire sooner, he had a lot of work to do. That was why he scheduled his meeting with Brian on the same day as Halliport's Alumni Homecoming.

Adrian knew that Brian would be there. He also knew Brian had the same circle of friends as Riley. It was also the perfect opportunity to publicize his relationship with Riley in front of many of their college classmates.

"There is something else, Mr. King." Clint revealed, "Mr. Barlowe discovered the Private Investigator that Brian had hired, and he... paid him off. That is probably why Mr. Martin never learned about Claire."

"Interesting." Adrian thought back to the time when he had uncovered Brian's affair.

It was pure luck and coincidence.

Mr. Bianchi, Adrian's regular client with ACE Construction, requested a favor from Adrian four months ago. William Barlowe had been wooing Mr. Bianchi, hoping to buy a share from his gelato company. The Bianchis were very family-oriented. They wanted good people in their company, so they had Mr. Barlowe investigated.

Having the right connections in the city, Adrian offered to do the investigation as a favor. While looking into William Barlowe, he stumbled into Claire Monet's relationship with Brian.

Naturally, Adrian was infuriated!

Adrian had given Brian the chance to be with the woman he loved. He gave way, only for Brian to hurt her!

So, yes, Adrian sent Riley the anonymous email, sharing photos of Brian and Claire's affair. Since then, he closely monitored Riley's life, including her attempt to fix her marriage.

Even then, Adrian had allowed Brian to correct his mistakes, but the fool chose his mistress.

Before the weekend, Adrian would make Brian pay once and for all. And now, based on what Clint had reported, it looked like Mr. Barlowe also needed some discipline.

Looking at Clint, he said, "Ask for a meeting with Clarisa Astor. Tell her I am interested in buying out her company."

"Yes, Sir," Clint said.

"Prepare everything. Everything will go down on Friday for Brian," Adrian declared. "That would be all."

Clint acknowledged before leaving Adrian's office.

In the next few days, Adrian and Riley busied themselves with work.

Riley frequently visited the store to entertain customers and educate them about diamond and gold qualities. Riley believed that if clients knew the disadvantages of buying lightweight gold, they would see the value of purchasing heavy-weight gold.

She also shared her knowledge about identifying fake jewelry pieces, especially diamonds. As a result, she earned trust and new clients each day.

In Riley's downtime, she sketched new designs at Adrian's office. It was her way of having quality time with her husband while getting work done.

Simultaneously, Adrian and his new team of engineers for The King's Enterprises gathered more potential clients and represented construction proposals. In as short as four days, Adrian had already sealed three projects for The King's Enterprises.

On a Friday morning, something big happened with Adley & Co. A King's Collection was on every billboard in Halliport and on social media.

Riley couldn't be more proud. Instead of the office, she celebrated the release of their new collection with her husband.

"Surprise!" Riley exclaimed after walking into the CEO's office, carrying two paper bags and a bottle of champagne.

When Riley saw there were employees in Adrian's temporary office, she said, "Oh, you have company. Clint, just let me in."

"It's okay, Honey." Adrian pointed to the men before his table and said, "These are the engineers who are exploring Halliport right now."

"Guys, this is my lovely wife, Riley," Adrian introduced.

While Riley and Adrian were making out in the CEO's office of the King's Enterprises, Brian had returned from taking Claire on a short trip to New York.

During the drive home, he saw the billboards of Halliport featuring Adley & Co.'s new collection.

"A King's Collection," Brian frowned. Just a week ago, his competitor opened a store, and now they have released a new array of men's jewelry.

Just how wealthy is this company's owner to shoulder a back-to-back production?

If it was Mr. Ace, how rich could he be?

Just as he was in deep thought, Claire interrupted him. She said excitedly, "I can't believe we bought so much in New York."

She leaned into Brian and said, "Thank you, Babe."

Brian almost choked on Claire's gratitude. His new wife had spent over two hundred thousand dollars shopping, which was a big surprise to him. However, Brian considered how Claire was new to living in luxury and perhaps unaware of how much she had spent.

When they arrived at the villa, Brian was stunned to see Mara in her pajamas. It looked like she had just woken up!

"Oh, the honeymooners are back!" Mara greeted them at the door. I hope you guys bought many gifts for me!"

As soon as Claire got out of the car, she jumped for joy with her mother, showing off the new bags, clothes, and shoes she had bought for everyone. Brian, however, had another pressing concern. He asked, "I'm glad to see you again, Mara, but weren't you supposed to return to the condo?"

"Oh, didn't Claire tell you? We decided that Carrie and I would remain here until Claire gives birth; you know, help around," Mara chirped before returning to collect the shopping bags in the car.

Brian was about to question that decision when he suddenly received a text from Mr. Ace's assistant. It read: [Mr. Martin, we will see you tonight at Halliport University.]

"What?" Brian was beyond shock. "Did Mr. Ace go to the same University?"
