Divorced the Cheat Married the Fleet (Camilla and Lance) novel Chapter 484

Davina was used to living in luxury. She couldn't let Barnard cast her aside. Even with his promises of financial support, she didn't dare trust him without a legal marriage certificate.

She had already made up her mind. Barnard was heavily injured, and Laura wasn't as strong as her. She was going to force him to get that license today.

After a brief struggle, Laura was indeed no match for Davina and was shoved aside. Davina lunged toward the hospital bed again.

Fortunately, the door was pushed open at that exact moment. Clement walked in and paused at the chaotic scene. "Barnard, did I come at a bad time?"

Laura looked at Clement as if he were her savior. "Mr. Clement, thank goodness you're here. This woman has lost her mind. Please get her out of here before she hurts Barnard."

"I'm not leaving, and I'm not crazy!" Davina yelled. "He needs to marry me legally right now. I refuse to leave until we get that license."

Clement was still trying to grasp the situation. Seeing Davina so frantic, he quickly tried to soothe the tension. "Hey now, are you guys talking about a divorce? Don't be rash. Barnard's injuries are severe right now, but he'll recover with some rest. As for his leg, I'll have the most advanced prosthetic made for him. I promise he'll be walking just like anyone else."

Hearing the word 'license,' he naturally assumed they were getting a divorce. He thought Davina was disgusted by Barnard's current state and immediately offered a guarantee.

After all, Barnard had taken the punishment in his place. Clement couldn't just stand by and watch his family fall apart.

"Who said anything about a divorce? I want him to get a marriage license with me," Davina corrected.

A look of surprise crossed Clement's face upon realizing they weren't even legally married yet.

Barnard, having no desire to let others witness his private affairs, spoke up bluntly. "Boss, could you please have someone take her home? She's emotionally unstable today and needs time to calm down."

Since Barnard had made the request, Clement didn't ask further questions. He called for his men to drag Davina out.

Laura knew they had business to discuss and quietly slipped out of the room.
