Chapter 346 Make Him Pay
After they waited outside for nearly half an hour, Emily came from the room.
Her face was downcast and absent–minded, with blood oozing faintly from her shoulder.
Spotting her, Alexander strode forward. He was itching to inquire about her shoulder, yet held his tongue.
It was a no–brainer that Vanessa had done the biting.
Ordinarily, he’d raise hell, but at this juncture, Vanessa took precedence.
Michael also cast a concerned look at Emily. “Emily, is Ms. Taylor feeling any better?” he asked, worry lacing his voice.
Emily tilted her head up, meeting Michael’s gaze. She yearned to berate him for inviting Vanessa in such a questionable way, but the words fizzled out.
In this whole mess, where was Michael’s fault?
The real villain was Derek.

She wore a calm facade, masking the storm within.
Alexander was on edge. “Where are you off to?” he probed.
“Vanessa’s craving some steak from that joint in the south of the city,” Emily replied.

Michael also picked up on Emily’s odd behavior. “Alexander, tail Emily. I can manage here.”
With that reassurance, Alexander wasted no time and chased
after her.
By the time he reached the neighborhood entrance, Emily had already hopped into a taxi.
Before he could intervene, the taxi took off.
But the direction it headed was north, not south.
That’s when Alexander knew for sure Emily had been fibbing.
Without hesitation, he flagged down a taxi. “Keep up with that one,” he told the driver.
After about half an hour’s drive, the taxi pulled up in front of a neighborhood.
Emily alighted and blended in with the crowd going inside.
Just as she was about to enter, Alexander seized her arm.
Fury blazed in Alexander’s eyes as he shouted, “What the heck are you planning?”
Emily was taken aback for a split second when she saw 3/8
