After they left the tower, there was no lingering around. They made their way straight to the airport.
Penny had already taken care of their bags, leaving them in the VIP lounge.
John and Harlene had been waiting for a while, glancing up every now and then, trying to hide their nerves. Once everyone was there, they cleared security and walked right onto James’s private jet.
Harlene and John had never experienced luxury like this before. The moment they stepped inside, they froze, wide-eyed, their breaths catching.
This wasn’t just a plane. It was a palace in the sky.
The inside was huge, filled with sunlight, covered in plush, handwoven carpets. The leather couches looked like something out of a designer showroom. Even the air felt rich, sweetened by an elegant, expensive fragrance that was impossible to place but impossible to ignore.
“Oh my god…” Harlene’s eyes were round as she ran her fingers along the buttery leather armrest.
“So this is what money feels like?” she whispered.
“This is unreal. You could literally stretch all the way out and roll around,” she joked, already grinning.
John tried to keep his cool, but the amazement showed in his eyes. He took everything in quietly. In the back, he spotted full bedrooms and bathrooms, a game table, even a private bar. Eight flight attendants, perfectly crisp in their uniforms, stood in a neat line, ready to serve just four passengers.
As soon as they were in the air, things somehow got even more ridiculous. The dinner was straight out of a dream. A Michelin-level chef cooked steak and seafood right there. The wine was so smooth, it almost made his head spin.
Harlene and John couldn’t stop gawking, their excitement bubbling over with every new surprise.
Twenty-plus hours on the plane disappeared in a blur of great food, laughter, and sleeping better than either one of them had in months.
When they landed at the Fiji resort, it was ten in the morning. Sun was everywhere, the breeze off the ocean was warm and soft, and the tropical air seemed to sweep away all their exhaustion.
Emmy was all business. She rushed Harlene and John straight to their oceanview suite so they could settle in.
“Take a little break. Nap or just wander around to shake off the jet lag,” she said, dropping her bag by the door. “James and I have to check in at the main office, but we’ll come get you for dinner.”
She changed into a smart outfit and headed out with James, both of them moving at a power-walk pace. The resort would have its grand opening in just two days and there were a million tiny things left to handle.

chapter 1251 has no wording, just the chapter number...
What I was dreading the most just happened, I think I need to move on from this story and read something else. This story is breaking my heart....
CHAPTER 1220 HAS NO WORDING JUST THE CHAPTER NUMBER...
Hopefully Emmy is level headed like she normally is and they can get past this. I'm praying!...
OMG! How can this be happening! If there is an issue in a marriage shouldn't it be talked through instead of someone believing rumors?...
Really, why is there always some home wrecker added to these stories? I always enjoyed reading this until now. Had to go and ruin a beautiful love story....
I enjoy reading this. I like that the storyline isn’t drawn out and moves on. I also appreciate chapters being added almost everyday, thank you....
