Dumped My Cheating Ex. Now I'm Sleeping Next to a Billionaire CEO novel Chapter 1260

“Wow, this place is unreal!”

Steve was the first to leap off the boat. He whipped off his sunglasses, grinning wide as he took everything in. “Now this is what I call real luxury. James really went all out, didn’t he?”

Krystina and Sylvia ran straight to Emmy and wrapped her up in a huge hug.

“We missed you so much!”

The whole group burst out laughing, everyone talking over each other and catching up.

Emmy gave everyone a hug, her smile never fading.

Teresa was a little teary-eyed as she gently cupped Emmy’s cheek, looking genuinely worried. “You look thinner. Have you not been eating properly?”

Emmy fought back her own tears and quickly shook her head. “No, really, it’s all muscle now. Here, feel.”

She flexed her arm, showing off the faintest hint of muscle, making Teresa laugh as she shook her head in disbelief.

For a moment, two small faces flashed in Emmy’s mind. She really wanted to ask her mom how the kids were doing since she’d come here, but the words wouldn’t come out. Asking would only make her mom worry more.

She remembered what Harlene had said. Sometimes, it takes something seriously adrenaline-pumping to trigger her memory.

So Emmy made a silent promise to herself. As soon as the opening ceremony was over, she’d try every extreme sport on the island. Maybe if she gave it her all, her memories would come back. Once she remembered everything and straightened it all out, she’d return to them, no matter what.

“What are you staring off for? Weren’t you supposed to show us to the hotel?” Steve’s voice pulled her back.

“Oh, right! Let’s get checked in.”

Emmy hurried to guide everyone to the waiting shuttle carts. Once they reached the hotel lobby, she handed out the room keys she’d prepared beforehand.

“Danny, you’re with Joshua.”

“Krystina, you and Sylvia are together.”

“Mr. Michell, you and your assistant share a room.”

Everyone took their keys and seemed pretty happy about it.

All but one key was left in Emmy’s hand. She glanced between her mom and Andrew, feeling a little awkward.

But Andrew just took her ID, slid it on the counter, and said in a voice that was quiet but clear enough for everyone to hear, “Teresa and I will share a room.”

Teresa wanted to protest, but noticed that everyone else seemed totally unfazed. They were glued to their phones or chatting among themselves, not paying them any attention.

Suddenly, she realized she’d probably been worrying for nothing. Besides, she was the one who’d wanted to keep things as just dating, no marriage strings attached.

That thought helped her relax. She let it go and silently agreed to the arrangement.

Check-in finished quickly. Everyone grabbed their keys and headed upstairs.

Krystina waved Emmy over to her room.

As soon as they walked in, Krystina set her suitcase down, unzipped a hidden compartment, and pulled out two big red envelopes.

She handed them to Emmy with a big smile. “Abriella had to stay home with Will so she couldn’t come, but she made Sylvia and me promise to hand these to you and your husband in person.”

Emmy hesitated, then took the envelopes. She opened one, and her face lit up with pure, stunned delight.
