After about a minute of checking her pulse, Nerissa let go of her wrist.

Victor immediately asked, “Dr. Jamison, how is my mother’s condition?”

Nerissa replied, “Just like the hospital said, Mrs. Berenson’s condition is extremely urgent. There’s too much blood pooling in her brain, putting pressure on her nerves and causing the coma. We need to perform Needle Crossing immediately.”

“So, what are her chances of waking up?” Frederick asked, his voice tight with worry.

“Eighty percent,” Nerissa answered without hesitation.
