Under the scorching sun, the needles flashed with a blinding light that made people’s skin crawl.

Just as Nerissa was about to insert the needle into the elderly woman, someone in the crowd couldn’t hold back.

‘This little girl sure knows how to talk big, they thought. ‘She’s a doctor? With all the proper certifications? Yeah right. She doesn’t even bother to make her lies believable.’

“If you’re a doctor, then I’m an angel,” someone scoffed.

“And I’m God,” another person added.

The crowd burst into laughter.

Nerissa remained composed and was unaffected by anyone. She began treating the elderly woman steadily.

Then she pulled out a ceramic bottle from her backpack and poured out a brown pill. She fed it into the old woman’s mouth.

This was a heart rescue pill.

But it wasn’t like the regular ones people could buy in stores. Nerissa had made this one herself by hand, and it had miraculous effects on heart attacks.

In the pharmaceutical market, pills like this were currently selling for sixty thousand dollars each, and even at that price, they were impossible to find.
