Chapter 123
Vera stared at him, her pupils trembling. The Coopers‘ faces darkened. The Coopek family whispered within mindlink. What did he mean? His words seemed directed at Vera, but were clearly intended for them.
The Winter Family had kept itself out of the Twitter incident, yet they’d made a self–incriminating statement. The outside world believed the two families were close allies; those in the know about the charity gala scandal assumed some kind of agreement had been reached. But only the Winter and Cooper families knew that Vera had been persuaded unilaterally by the Coopers.
Jason was clearly criticizing them indirectly!
‘No one told me to say that. I felt that, given the circumstances, Tanner deserved a title. If you want a grand bonding ceremony, you need to turn the situation around. It’s a necessary evil. I was thinking of everyone,” Vera said stiffly.

ason narrowed his cold eyes, looking at his mother with incomprehension. His wolf reminded, “SOMETHING WRONG WITH
HER…”
After the charity gala incident, Mother wouldn’t even let Tanner enter the Winter residence. Why had her attitude changed so drastically in just a few days?
Henry spoke, “It’s done now. Don’t blame your mother anymore. Focus on what needs to be done next.”
Before Jason could respond, Mrs. Cooper chimed in, “Yes, my dear in–law, when it comes to relationships, it takes two to tango. My daughter may be a little willful, but your son isn’t innocent either. You can’t let a girl shoulder the blame alone.”
‘Furthermore, Tanner didn’t know that Sophia and Jason were secretly bonded. If anyone is at fault, it’s him for hiding his marriage.”
This series of events has caused my daughter immense harm; the Cooper family has lost reputation. He needs to give my daughter an explanation.”
After the charity gala, the Coopers also wanted them to break up; everyone in their circles had watched the drama unfold. Even if he two families bonded, this stain would remain.
But then the Twitter incident happened, and overnight, the entire MoonCloud Pack, even the whole world, knew that my laughter was the other woman. Tanner was threatening suicide; she wouldn’t live without Jason, leaving the Coopers at their wit’s
end.
As soon as Mrs. Cooper finished speaking, while Henry was pondering a reply, Jason coldly responded, “I won’t sever the bond with Sophia, and I won’t bond your daughter!”
Tanner’s face Wellst pale. Mrs. Cooper’s face darkened.
The atmosphere in the restaurant instantly turned icy; everyone’s faces froze. The wedding had been agreed upon by everyone except the groom, making the earlier laughter seem ironic.
Zane stood up, pulling Jason aside, whispering, “It’s too late to act all deep. Sophia must hate you and the Winter Family now; you can’t get back together! Tanner is devoted to you, she’ll only marry you. Marrying her will only benefit you.”
Jason’s tone was firm and cold:“I’ll say it again, I will absolutely not bond with your sister.”
Zane:“…You-”
He was furious. “You seduced her and now you’re saying you don’t want her? Are you heartless?! She didn’t force herself on you! Look at her, as a werewolf, she can’t survive without you! What you’re doing isn’t redemption; it’s being irresponsible to both women!”
Jason: “I’m not saying I’m innocent, but I love my bonded partner.”
Zane was speechless. Their voices were low, yet snippets reached the ears of those present.
