I parked my car in the garage, get out, grabbed my luggage, and called Summer, telling her I had been followed.

She called, and it rang for ten seconds before connecting. A soothing, mellow voice answered, “Hello.”

Summer had no time for daydreaming or pleasantries, going straight to the point, “Mr. Shaw, please contact the property management. Sophia entered the complex a few minutes ago, and our call was cut off mid–conversation. Now I can’t reach her.”

‘Okay, I’ll ask right away.”

Before Summer could thank him, Xander hung up.

He was currently at the Shaw family mansion, sitting with his parents; many photos of girls from top families were on the table. After hanging up, he stood up and politely addressed his parents, “I have something to do, I’ll go first. I have no objections to what you said, just let me know once it’s arranged.”

Then he strode out. Mr. and Mrs. Shaw looked at each other. After he left, Mrs. Shaw said, “That sounded like a femak omega’s

voice just now.”
