Eight Years of Maybe One Day of I Do—Bride Swapped Deal With It novel Chapter 111

Chapter 9

I heard Theodore grunt in pain, and my eyes instantly filled with tears of worry.

“Are you okay? Does it hurt?”

Theodore had been about to milk the sympathy, but seeing me on the verge of crying, he immediately changed his tune.

He pulled me into his arms tenderly. “I’m fine. Doesn’t hurt at all.”

I shot one last hateful glance at Eden sprawled on the floor, then left with Theodore.

Eden was covered in wounds, looking utterly pathetic.

But the physical pain was nothing compared to the agony in his chest.

He watched helplessly as I fussed over Theodore, protected him-and it felt like a knife twisting in his heart.

Only in this moment did Eden truly understand: he’d lost me for good.

But still, he refused to accept it, scheming to appear before me, trying to make amends and win me back.

A $15 million bracelet at auction.

An entire estate of pink roses he’d planted himself.

He even tattooed my name over his heart.

But no matter how much he did, I remained unmoved.

Theodore and I were already planning our wedding. I’d wanted to wait a bit longer, but Theodore refused to delay even a day.

“I want to marry you as soon as possible,” he said.

I agreed.

When Eden heard the news, he came running.

“Nimue, I know I was wrong. I’m begging you-don’t marry him.”

His eyes were red-rimmed, tears hitting the ground.

“I’ve cut ties with Verna completely. From now on, you’re the only one.”

“I know you don’t like her. I’ve sent her abroad. She’ll never appear in front of you again.”

“Everyone you don’t like-I’ll make them all disappear.”

“Nimue…”

I looked at him. “Then why don’t you disappear?”

Eden staggered backward, his already haggard face turning deathly pale.

Chapter 9

I didn’t want to revisit the past. But every time Eden appeared, he forced me to relive it all.

“I know I was the one who wanted to marry you. I asked my family to propose the alliance. But Eden, if you really didn’t want to marry me-why

didn’t you refuse?”

“After the Blackwood family survived its crisis, you immediately turned on mine. Are you going to tell me the Rovella bankruptcy had nothing to do with you?”

“What a fool I was. I never noticed any of it.”

“And you knew how much I looked forward to having those babies. But they weren’t even mine.”

“You made me carry your mistress’s children!”

“Eden Blackwood-how dare you!”

I stared at him, listing every betrayal, every cruelty-watching his face drain of all color.

Theodore arrived just then. I saw him take a step forward toward Eden.

Eden reached for me one last time, but stopped just before touching me.

I took Theodore’s hand and left without looking back.
