I peeked out from behind the trees. There were no less than ten armored black SUV-looking vehicles. The windows were so tinted, you couldn’t even see into them, not even a shadow. Justin walked up to a window and started talking to the guy.

“Justin?” the guy in the window asked.

“Yes, and you are?”

“Kevin. I am the lead of this rescue mission. Where is Nina?”

“In the trees… guarded”

“We don’t have all day. I need to verify the package and get everyone out of here”

With that, he honked the horn and the doors opened in each vehicle and men started pouring out. If I hadn’t had the start to a feeling, I would have appreciated this moment. However, I started getting a bad vibe. Is it vehicles or something else? I stood up and looked around. I saw Trevor eying me, he knew I knew something, or felt something.

I felt the negative vibe coming from the vehicles, but it still didn’t feel right. Maybe from that direction? I wasn’t sure so I started walking. I blocked out everyone and I walked out from behind the trees and towards the vehicles.

“Nina?”

“Luna?”

I felt someone grab my arm and I instinctively let my electric current zap him. Feeling his hand let go and jumping back, I put one foot in front of the other till I was in a car. I looked all around and saw everyone was still and quiet just looking at me in worry/curiosity. I felt a big pull from behind the vehicle and slowly stepped around it, looking into the vast forest. It was then I knew it. Over 100 wolves headed this way in a sprint! Holy fucking shit!

“WE NEED TO GO NOW!” I screamed. No one moved and I looked at Trevor and Justin.

“What is going on” a guy asked.

“She ‘knows’ things and I promise you; you do not want to bet against her. If she said we need to go, we need to go now!” Trevor said, and it was like a switch, everyone ran to a vehicle and piled in.

Just as we peeled out, the first roar of a wolf was heard. I was sitting in the back smooshed between two guys that basically took up the whole seat. I didn’t even have time to look or ask them their names before my head was thrown back and the SUV was speeding down the road.

“Alpha, we have the package. Bogies on our tail. Over”, the driver said in an old-style looking walkie-talkie.

“Delta 2- can’t tell how many are here. Too many for us to take on. Over”

“100” I said to the driver. I saw him look at me in the review mirror and lift an eyebrow like he was questioning my abilities. “Listen here fucker, I don’t give a shit if you believe me or not, but I am telling you there are 100 rogues out there chasing us. They will chase us till we reach the boarders and then there will be a fight. Get your asses moving and get us to more warriors!”

“Delta 5- Ice princess said 100, be prepared for battle in 10 minutes at north boarder”

He looked at me with a smirk. Ice princess? I’ll show you a fucking ice princess when I get out of here. “Your name?” I asked, very annoyed at that point.

“Johnnie”

I just nodded and kept quiet. I could hear the growls from behind us but eventually we were out of eyesight but I knew they were there. Seeing the boarder ahead, “If any of you fuckers dare try to carry me off to safety, I will enjoy putting you down on your ass. I will be fighting, and you will not stop me”, I said as I eyed each one.

One of them cracked his knuckles and smirked. I let my eyes glow green, and I zapped him enough to make him squirm for a good 5 seconds. “Are we clear?” I asked. They all looked at me like I was a ghost but nodded.

We entered the boarders, and the cars came to a skidding stop. I didn’t even have time to look around as I jumped out of the vehicle and surveyed the area. We had the numbers, now it was just doing it.

I saw someone approach me. “Miss. Nina, I am future Alpha here, Reed. I need to get you to safety.”

“Don’t do it boss, she is scary!” A guy said and I raised an eyebrow at him.

“Scary?” Reed said, looking at me.

I just shrugged my shoulders, “I was born and bred to fight, you will not be keeping me from this. As your warrior found out what happens when you piss me off.”

I saw Reed look at his warrior with a frown. The warrior was giving me a look that said, ‘just stay away from me’. “Fine, but you will be staying close to me. All I need is for Wyatt to come after me if anything happens to you!”

I was about to respond but I heard the growls. We all turned and looked and saw one by one, each rouge came from behind the trees. They were all in their wolf form except one.

“Give us the girl and we will leave.” He shouted. I squared up my shoulders, stood proud and said, “come get me” in a taunting way. “Damn, Wyatt has his hands full with you.” Reed said.
