Emerald Eyed Luna novel Nina (by Mrs.Smith) novel Chapter 58

I watched as all five men stood and nodded at Wyatt and Reed. They left the room without saying a word. Reed followed them out and showed them the front door. I just sat there in silence, not sure what to say or do. I almost felt numb by it all.

Wyatt pulled the chair out beside me and sat down. Gripping my chair, he rotated it in one forceful motion, so I was looking straight at him. He pulled the chair close to him. This caused my knees to touch his chair as his legs were spread apart.

“We will not let them have you! You are safe here and we will protect you!” Wyatt declared as either hand was holding my face. Reed walked in and slammed the door shut. I turned to look at him as he punched a hole in the wall.

“We have one week to prepare for them. We need to get ahead of these accusations. Damage control. We can’t lose allies. If they believe she is actually guilty, then they will side against us.” Reed said as he gripped the chair. Blood was dripping down his hand, on the chair.

“A statement” I said quietly.

“What?” Reed asked, looking at me.

“We need to make a statement. Like do something to prove who I am, and I am here to take my place as their queen. Almost forces people to decide against their rightful queen and power-hungry men.”

“She is right.” Wyatt said, looking at Reed. He nodded his head in agreement.

“We have less than one week to figure out what that play is and execute it.” I said, leaning back in my chair. I started racking my brains to figure out what exactly I could do.

“How about an Alpha meeting?” Wyatt said, looking at Reed.

“That is short notice though. They may not all be able to attend…” Reed said.

“Teleconference then. Video them so they will see and hear all that is said. I will need to prove my abilities and take my stance once and for all for the world to see.” I said, looking at Reed.

“We have the capabilities here for that. Everyone who cannot attend in 5 days will video in and watch from their office. I will let everyone know.” Reed said and walked out of the room, leaving Wyatt and I.

“We need to figure out the rest of my abilities” I said. I am starting to get anxious about this.

“You need to change”, Wyatt stood up and I followed him as we made our way to our bedroom.

Shit, I forgot about Kelly! Opening the door, I walked in and was ready to say hi when I was met with an empty room. “I bet she went to Reed’s room already”, Wyatt said as he walked to the closet. Frowning, I followed him in there. He had already stripped off his shirt and was holding a pair of shorts. I found a sports bra and leggings that were all black. Grabbing some socks, I put my shoes on and walked out of the closet.

I found Wyatt staring out the window into the forest. “You, okay?” I asked.

“Of course, I am, let’s go!” He said, clearly annoyed, but I let it go. He will tell me when he feels like it, I guess.

I continued to follow him silently as we wandered around the house till we came to a room that was full of concrete. A concrete box to be exact. He walked in the middle of it and turned to look at me. All I could think about was how damn sexy he looked without a shirt on.

“Focus Nina”, Wyatt sighed “We have got to figure this out. You already know you can feel emotions, electrocute people and send a blast.”

This is not what I was expecting. I racked my brain trying to think of a way to get Nina to get into her full powers. The only way to beat this is for her to have access and to learn to control them. What I knew from her childhood, was that her father would make her mad to get a reaction out of her. I was going to have to piss her off. I would catch Nina staring out into the forest like it called to her. She would gravitate to it. I felt like if I cut her off from it and pissed it off, it would force her to feel something and maybe get a reaction from her powers. She had said that every time a power had presented itself was when she was in need.

Only her mate could piss her off and cause a certain reaction, which is what Zach had told me. I was going to get the short end of the stick, but I would do anything for this girl. If that meant pissing her off beyond measure, then that is what I was going to do.

The prophesy said that in order for her to gain access to her full powers, she needed to be mated and marked. She is both and hadn’t shown any difference. However, watching her be consumed by this ball of light was not what I pictured happening. She looked like she was in an egg and there was a green hue around it.

She was hovering above the ground around 15 feet. Pack members were gathering and watching this all unfold. I could feel her changing through the bond. It was becoming more intense, and it was like the small flame that is the mate bond is now a torch and lighting my whole body up. I could feel her at peace, and I didn’t get any negative emotions from her. At times when she is focusing hard at cutting off emotions, she will cut off the bond emotions too. Trying hard not to get pissed off at her for it but it is frustrating.

Slowly she started to descend, and the light got so bright everyone had to close their eyes. The light only lasted about 30 seconds and all that was left was Nina lying on the ground on her back like she could be sleeping.

Rushing over to her, I felt the warmth of her skin under my hand as I ran my fingers through her hair. Her appearance has changed. She still had the dark hair, but I saw streaks of white running through it like thick chunky highlights. Her skin had a soft glow like she was just kissed by the sun. It was like she instantly put on all the muscle she lost when she was kidnapped, and she looked healthy again.

Her breathing was steady. I felt her still with me and just knew she was in a deep sleep. Gently, I picked her up and started walking back to the house to put her in bed.

“Let me lay her down and I’ll meet you in your office” I told Reed. He nodded and followed me in

“Kelly will sit with her, till we are done”

“Thanks man” I said and meant it. Reed was a true friend.
