“Love, I know you want to get up and just be normal again, but you need to heal if you are going to defeat them. And before you jump down my throat, no, I did not know about the time frame and attack. That was news to me. I haven’t exactly been working in the office lately. Reed has been doing all the heavy lifting so I could stay with you. Actually, other than the warriors, no one really knows what is happening. They know something is brewing though…” Wyatt trailed off. He had moved to the bed and was trying to comfort me.
I appreciated it though, but I am not sure how I could stay in bed all day. I feel so guilty and weak. Failing is not an option though. That much, I am sure. Kelly is right though, I need to be at 100 % or as close as I can get to it for this fight. “I think I need to make the video before my cuts heal too much. I want to show everyone what happened to me. With that, and my message, that should be enough encouragement.” I said, thinking out loud.
“That is an idea…” Wyatt said slowly. He was deep in thought. “How about we take pictures of your injuries that way we can just send them or show them during the message, so we don’t have to move the camera?”
“That sounds better. Let’s do that.” I agreed. Wyatt nodded. What should I even say? This is my destiny. Am I ready to fulfill it? Can I even fulfill it? Just thinking about where my life was a few months ago. Getting ready to graduate high school, parent’s death and finding my mate. This has been a crazy year. “Hold up!” I said, almost yelling at Wyatt.
“What?” He asked, looking startled.
“What about the mole?” I watched Wyatt’s eyes get dark. He was pissed.
“Yeah, we have a mole, and I think I know who and I think you do too, but you don’t want to admit it to yourself.”
I just stared at him. He was right. I did know exactly who it was. “What are we going to do?”
“Let it play out. We don’t have the evidence, so we will need to let that person show themselves.” Wyatt said, shrugging.
“I assume we are being careful about our plans?” I asked, arching my eyebrows at him.
“Of course. Only us four know everything. I have already spoken to them about this, and we are all prepared to do what is needed, but we figured you would like to do the honors.”
I nodded. If it wasn’t for loyalty, then it was to show people what would happen if you backstab me.
“Wyatt?” I asked without even looking at him.
“Yes, love?”
“What will our lives look like in four days? Where will we live? How are we going to rule? We will need a new system, new laws, everything!”
“We will live where you want us to live. We will have each other and that is what counts. Everything will fall into place. I am already ahead of you on a few things, but they are a surprise till next week.” He said with a twinkle in his eye. He was up to something.
“Who will run your pack?” I asked.
“I have ideas, but again, that is a topic for next week!”
Sighing, I gave up. I won’t win this one. Let’s have some fun though! “Can you help me take a shower?” I asked with a smile.
Wyatt rolled his eyes at me, “I will help you to the shower. You can bath yourself, missy! I have already installed a handicap shower head and there is a chair in there for you to sit on.”
