Sometime in the middle of the night, the boys came back, and Reed carried a sleeping Kelly back to their room and Wyatt slipped into bed next to me. I managed to stay up till 11pm and we ate our food and drank soda as we watched ’50 First Dates’. It felt good to just be a teenage girl again and not have the weight of the world on your shoulders.

Wyatt was running his fingers through my hair as I pretended to still be asleep. “I know you are awake princess.” Wyatt purred in my ear.

“I don’t want to be though!” I said as I snuggled in a little closer to his chest.

I heard his chuckle from his chest. “Everyone is here and ready to see you. Breakfast is on the table and people are waiting. I let you sleep as long as I possibly could.”

“Everyone?”

“Yup, everyone from our pack, my parents, Brooke, Zach, Justin, Maverick, everyone.”

“Did you guys get the video done?” I asked as I untangled myself from him. I watched him watch me stretch so I pushed my breast out a little further.

He responded by rolling his eyes at me, but he had to adjust himself, “We did. Do you want to see it before we send it out today?”

“No, I don’t. I don’t want to see the pictures.” I said. “No reason to, relive that.”

Wyatt nodded as he really didn’t have a response to that. I stood up and started walking toward the bathroom. I was still walking slowly but I did feel better. After doing my business in the bathroom, I went to the closet and got dressed in leggings, sports bra and tank. I put my hair in a ponytail and put tennis shoes on. Maybe a jog will do me good today!

Wyatt had joined me there and got dressed himself in gym shorts and a tank with tennis shoes. Once we were both ready, we headed for the door. I went to open the bedroom door, but Wyatt stopped me.

“I told them not to ask questions, but you don’t have to answer any if they do. They also only know about the attack in 2 days and that’s it. Don’t let anything else slip. After breakfast, come to Reed’s office and we will break down the game plan, okay?”

“Okay, sounds good.”

“Are you okay? Like really Nina! Tell me if you are not okay!”

I wrapped my arms around his neck. “I promise I am okay! But I will tell you if I become not okay, okay?”

“You better!” Wyatt said as he gave me a quick kiss. Wyatt studied my face for a second before he finally opened the door and led me to the kitchen. I still leaned on him for support to walk. I felt better but I have all day I had to get through.

As we approached the doors, I held Wyatt back for a second. I could hear them chatting. Everyone sounded happy as the sound of laughter leaked through the door. I took a deep breath and nodded as he opened the door, looking at me with a concerned expression.

All the laughter and noise instantly stopped, and everyone turned to look at me. I suddenly wished I had stayed in bed. I wanted to shrink and be invisible. I heard the sound of a chair scratching across the floor as Wyatt’s mom got out of her chair and ran up to me, giving me a big motherly hug. I was so shocked I just stood there for a second before I wrapped my arms around her. I haven’t had a motherly hug like this in months, since my own mother died. I must have made a face because Wyatt told his mom to be gentle with me, that I was still healing, but I welcomed her embrace.

Soon everyone had gotten up and walked over to me and greeted me. I was starting to get tired from standing, so I looked around till I found Wyatt’s eyes. He was standing in the corner just watching me and waiting. I gave him a pleading look and he instantly came over and wrapped his arm around me, helping me to my chair. We were sitting next to Reed and Kelly and his close family that I got to meet finally.

Kelly leaned over to me and whispered in my ear, “Is it okay if we tell everyone our news?”

“Hell yes! Get that attention! Please!!!” I begged. She giggled but nodded to Reed.

Reed stood and clinked his fork against his glass, signaling he was about to speak. “I would like to welcome each and every one of you to our home. Please make yourself comfortable and if you have any issues, please feel free to let me know. I would like to thank my Luna for organizing all of this. Wyatt has also requested that I remind you all that Nina has been through a terrible event and almost died in order to help us. She is still healing, and we need to be mindful of that. I would like Wyatt’s parents and my parents to see me and Wyatt in my office after breakfast for a meeting. I apologize for the late notice.” Reed said and gave a small bow in respect to each Alpha, which they returned. “Lastly, before you all finish your meals”, Reed held Kelly’s hand and had her stand next to him, “We have some exciting news. Kell is pregnant!”

Chaos erupted. The females screamed and the males hooped and hollered. Many people came up to them to congratulate them. Kelly was absolutely beaming. “Okay, okay!” Reed yelled. Everyone returned to their seats, and he continued, “We wish to keep this between us till after the war. Obviously, she will not be partaking in the fighting but will be in charge of the safe houses and hospital. I only tell you this because I will be extremely busy and will not be around, so if you notice anything wrong with her, you are commanded to tell me asap!” Reed said and let his command flow through people. Obviously, it didn’t work on myself and Wyatt, but we would do that regardless and he knows that.

Reed sat down and everyone finished their meals. I finished first as I only ate one pancake and a couple bites of eggs with a whole glass of milk. That didn’t go unnoticed as I watched people look at my plate, but they kept their comments to themselves. I got good at handling people’s emotions, so I have been letting the door open more often. Right now, I am getting more pity or concerned emotions. What surprised me was the one person. I got a pissed off emotion. I can’t figure out why they would be mad though. I was about to tell Wyatt, but I got distracted as Justin spilled his juice down Maverick’s shirt causing him to yell and make a scene.

“Come on, let’s go”, Wyatt said as he sighed. He helped me stand and I just snicked at them. It really is the little things in life! We made our way to Reed’s office, and I sat down in a chair. Wyatt stood behind me.
