Chapter 103 Cruel Conditions
The young man clenched his fists and said nothing.
“Oh, hitting you is boring.” Xane said slowly. “I’ve never tried a girl running à 104 F fever before…”
“I’m sorry!”
Fulshed
That one line hit the young man’s weak spot. He suddenly looked up, grabbed Xane’s pant leg tightly, and begged, “Mr. Clark, I was too impulsive just now. It’s all my fault. You want to hit me? Go ahead, hit me! As long as it calms you down, I’ll do anything!
“Please spare my sister. She’s innocent. Everything is my fault!”
Xane’s eyes lit up with interest. “Anything I want?”
The young man nodded like crazy.
“Alright then. I’ll give you a chance.”
Xane ground his teeth and said casually, “Right now, get on your knees.
crawl one full lap around the first floor of this mall. Every step you crawl, you have to slam your head on the ground–loud enough for me to hear.”
Martin grabbed him. “Mr. Clark, that’s going too far.”
The mall was huge. Even walking around it would take almost ten minutes, let alone crawling.
And Xane was
making him bang his head every step/ He’d end
up
bleeding for sure.
“Too far?”
Xane shook off his hand and pointed at
injuries on his face. “For a lowlife like him, I’m already being generous by giving him a chance to make it up. He should be grateful! What do you mean too far? Didn’t he agree to it himself?”
Then he turned to the young man. “Tell Captain Bax yourself. You want to do this, right?”
The young man clenched his fists tightly. Thinking of his sister’s weak face, he was just about to nod when
a voice suddenly spoke from the side. “How is he doing this because he wants to?”
Xane turned, annoyed. “What’s it to you?”
Robin walked over, smiling, and said to the young man, “I heard you have a little sister?”
The young man didn’t answer. He just looked at her, guarded.
Robin didn’t mind at all. “He’s young. Hot–headed, but he stood up for his sister. That takes guts. Mr. Clark, why keep going after him?”
For some reason, when Martin saw her step in, he suddenly felt a bit relieved.

Chapter 106 Creel Conditions
Xane stared at her, his face dark. “I suggest you stay out of this.”
“How is this meddling? Robin smiled. I’m helping you.
Finished
“Someone like him has no idea how to be grateful. He’s in your team, enjoying your protection, and still acts like this. Honestly, people like him should be kicked out–along with his sister”
The young man froze, then glared at her with hatred.
He didn’t understand. He’d never messed with her. Why was she cutting off his only way out?
Xane’s eyes lit up. “You’ve got a point. Someone like him doesn’t deserve to stay on our team.”
“Martin…” The young man panicked.
He might be able to fight zombies, but his sister was burning with a fever.
No food, no water–if they left the group, they wouldn’t survive!
He quickly looked at Martin for help. “I was wrong. You said if I crawl around the mall, you’d forgive me, right? I’ll do it! I’ll do anything as long as you forgive me!”
