Honestly, even though the mission failed and the person who killed Xane was right in front of them, no one felt angry. No one felt that upset about the failed mission either. And no one wanted to blame Klay.

He spoke slowly, “I need to hear everyone’s opinion first.”

Robin was happy to hear that and nodded.

There were over 20 people in the group. From the start, their goal was the military base, and now the destination was suddenly changing. Of course they had to ask everyone’s opinion.

Drake gave them a deep look. “I’ll go talk to them.”

He walked off to discuss it with the others, leaving just the two of them.

Martin looked at Robin carefully. “To be honest, I’ve always been curious. You seem familiar with me. But we’ve never met. The way you talk to me, the way you look at me… it’s like you’re looking at an old friend.”

She was actually telling the truth, but to Martin, it just sounded like she was brushing him off.

He smiled helplessly. “If you don’t want to say it, I won’t ask.”

Robin shrugged.

She did say it.

If he didn’t believe her, what could she do?

Meanwhile, Drake told the group about the plan. Everyone froze, looking pretty unhappy.

“We had a deal! Why are you changing it now?”

“Yeah, I only joined because you said you were going to the base. Now you suddenly change plans. What are we supposed to do?”
