The sixth floorRebin nodded. “How many zombies are there on the third and fourth floors?

Dylan thought for a moment. Two to three hundred total, probably. But I found a lot of zombie corpses on the second floor. Those people may have killed them.

And with that many zombies around, I didn’t see a single bevel 2 among them. It’s possible those people already took care of them too.

That did make things easier. The only problem was that they still had no idea whether those people were friends or foes.

Everyone had brought large backpacks, but they filled up quickly. Robin had them send the first batch back to unload. The hospital was too large for them to waste all their time on medicine alone.

There may not be that many zombies on the second floor, but stay alert,Robin said.

The group carefully climbed the stairs beside the dead elevators and made their way toward the second floot.

The person in front had barely poked his head up when a roar exploded out. A zombie lunged from somewhere out of sight, its blackened mouth stretched nearly to its ears, exposing rotten gums and a decaying tongue inside.

Everyone in the hospital was already strung tight with nerves. A zombie suddenly appearing in their face like that would scare the hell out of anyone.

Fortunately, the man reacted fast. The sheer shock triggered his instincts. His arm shot out on reflex, and the dagger in his hand plunged straight into the zombie’s mouth.

He had barely let out a breath of relief when the commotion drew the attention of other zombies nearby.

More and more of them came surging toward the stairwell. Robin, however, made no move to intervene.

By now, these people had more or less mastered Ultimate Combat Arts, and they all had weapons for self- defense. Against lowlevel zombies like these, as long as they stayed calm, this shouldn’t be a problem. And just as Robin expected, it wasn’t.

After a brief moment of panic, the group quickly steadied themselves. They had all learned the techniques already, but this was the first time they were truly putting them to use in actual combat.

Their movements gradually shifted from stiff and clumsy to smooth and controlled. The speed at which they killed zombies kept increasing. It didn’t take long before every zombie that had rushed at them was dead.

Looking at the bodies strewn across the floor, even they found it hard to believe. So many zombiesAnd they had killed every single one. Maybe zombies weren’t as terrifying as they had once imagined.

Their first victory gave everyone a huge boost of confidence. And when they looked at Robin now, there was even more trust in their eyes. Everything they had now, all this strength, was because of her.

Robin noticed the change too. She smiled faintly. Nicely done. The number of zombies each of you killed has already been recorded automatically by your chips. When we get back, those points will be ready for

use.

Only after she said that did some of them remember to check. They quickly opened their chips.

Sure enough, the points had already been added automatically.

There aren’t many zombies left on the second floor, but some may still be hiding in corners. Split up and clear out as many as you can. But make sure no one moves alone. At least two people per group.

The moment she finished speaking, the group scattered.

The second floor was no longer much of a threat to them. Robin shot Dylan a look, and the two of them silently understood each other as they made their way up the stairs to the third floor.

But the instant they pushed open the stairwell door to the third floor, a wave of foul, fishy stench hit them headon.
