Chapter 141 Uninvited Guests

After taking care of the zombie by the stairwell door, Robin didn’t step onto the third floor right away. Instead, she stayed at the entrance and observed the situation first.
With no lights, the hallway was especially dim. Not far away, she spotted a zombie still wearing a nurse’s
cap.
What had once been white was now smeared with sticky blood and dust, hanging crookedly on its head. The nurse zombie’s head drooped low, and the hair that had once been tucked neatly beneath the cap now spilled loose, swaying back and forth over her chest. And swaying along with her hair were her intestines.
There was a gaping hole in her stomach. A length of intestine had been torn out and hung at her waist. A syringe was still stuck in her arm, and for some reason, even after all this time, it hadn’t fallen out.
At the sight, Robin was instantly reminded of a famous horror movie–Silent Hill. And when she saw more nurse zombies ahead, that feeling only grew stronger.
After taking a quick look at the layout of the third floor, Robin was just about to head in when a shrill cry suddenly rang out from outside.
“HONK HONK HONK!”
It was Cotton.
Robin’s face darkened. At the same time, the sound of shattering glass came from the second floor. The two of them exchanged a look an

them, she called out, There’s
someone here!”
In that short span of time, the intruder had both arms twisted behind his back and was pinned hard to the floor by Ella. One side of his face was pressed against the ground. He looked furious, but couldn’t break free.
Damn it… What the hell is with this woman?
How is she this strong?
He was a strength ability user, and yet right now he was being pinned there without even the slightest
even ability to resist.
Robin asked, “What happened?”
Her gaze
fell on the shattered window nearby. The floor was covered in broken glass, so this man must have smashed the window from outside and climbed in.
But this was the second floor. And Dylan had already said that the other living people in the building were most likely on the sixth floor. Robin was already starting to form a guess.
She walked over to the window and looked outside. Sure enough, a thick rope hung down from above, still swaying slightly in the air.
Ella explained, “I was just standing here minding my own business when I suddenly heard Cotton start yelling outside. Then right after that, this guy kicked in the window and came in from outside.”

It was bad luck on his part. He’d come through the exact spot right behind Ella and scared the hell out of her. And Ella hadn’t show him any mercy. She’d reacted without thinking and simply pinned him on the
spot.
“Who are you?” Robin asked, narrowing her eyes.
The man struggled to lift his head, glaring at them with vicious hostility. “I should be asking you that. Who the hell are you people? This is our territory. What right do you have to come in here?”
“Your territory?” Robin smiled. “And what proof do you have that this place belongs to you?”
“I…” He choked on the words for a second, then forced them out. “We got here two days ago. We’re from Redwood Military Base. We came here looking for supplies. Everything around here is territory we already claimed. We just didn’t have enough people, so about 20 of us stayed behind to guard the place while the rest went back to report in.
“Judging by the time, they should be back soon. So if I were you, I wouldn’t start trouble. While I’m still being nice, tell this little girl to let me go. If our main group gets here, you won’t be able to handle it.”

At that familiar name, Robin paused. She hadn’t expected to run into people from the base this soon.
Martin and Drake exchanged a look, both of them inwardly cursing. The moment they chose not to go to the base and followed Robin to the
zoo instead, they had already placed themselves in direct opposition to Redwood Military Base.
What a small world.

Seeing that none of them said anything, the man assumed he’d scared them.
