End Times, Surviving with My Beastly Army novel Chapter 267

Chapter 267 Fire in the Dark

Finished

The world in front of him started to blur and overlap. Everything shook. It felt like thousands of steel needles were stabbing into his brain. The pain was unbearable.

But so much time had already passed. They had killed so many zombies. When he looked far ahead, it was still a sea of black.

The zombies hadn’t gotten fewer. It felt like they would never run out.

Are we really going to die here?

Isaac let out a bitter laugh.

Then, out of the corner of his eye, he saw something, and his eyes snapped wide open.

Several zombies surrounded David. He was clearly struggling.

Otto rushed forward to help. But in the next second, David’s eyes flickered and he shoved Otto straight into the swarm!

David, you bastard!

Otto froze in shock. He had never expected David to betray him!

Weren’t they on the same side?!

It all happened too fast. Otto didn’t even have time to react. By the time he came back to his senses, the zombies were already lunging at him, their mouths wide open.

Otto!

Isaac’s eyes burned red.

He forced every last bit of strength out of his body. Even though his head felt like it was about to explode, he still raised his hand without hesitation.

Otto was his best friend. His buddy. There was no way he could just watch him die!

But his power was almost gone.

His mental strength was nearly drained. Even when he pushed himself to the limit, all that came out of his palm was a tiny sparkbarely visible.

David, you piece of trash!

Isaac coughed up blood. It spilled from his mouth.

He couldn’t hold on anymore. His knees gave out, and he dropped to the ground.

Even so, his hand stayed stretched forward.

His vision started to fades

But at that very moment, a burst of blazing red light shot across his sight!

Finished

A wave of heat rushed toward him. Flames surged forward like a fire dragon, racing toward Otto and swallowing the zombies whole.

What the hell?

Isaac was stunned. He stood there like a statue.

A man’s voice came from behind him, full of scorn. Why make it sound like some tragic goodbye? He treated you like dirt, and you’re still risking your neck to save him.

You

Isaac recognized him.

The young man had a striking face. But his chin was always tilted slightly up, like he looked down on

everyone.

Or maybe he didn’t even bother with anyone.

Henry slowly lowered his finger. Even though Isaac had only made a tiny spark, it still produced heat.

With Henry’s explosive ability, that spark turned into a roaring fire dragondevastatingly powerful.

You should check on your friend,” Henry said calmly. If it’s just a normal injury, fine. But if he got scratched or bitten

His voice turned dark. Then you’ll have to deal with him yourself.

Isaac snapped back to reality and ran over at once.

Luckily, Otto was strong. He had managed to hold on, though he still looked shaken.

Are you okay?

Isaac helped him up right away, his voice tight with worry.

Otto looked at him, awkward and silent.

They had been friends for years. Of course Isaac could tell what he was thinking.

We’re friends,Isaac said. Good friends argue. That’s normal. As long as we’re both alive, that’s what

matters.

I’m sorry.”

Otto took a deep breath. His cold gaze locked onto David.
