End Times, Surviving with My Beastly Army novel Chapter 282

Chapter 282 The Last Batch of Survivors

They thought they were going to die. But somehow, by sheer luck, they made it out alive.

There had been a lot of food stored in the building. Since there were only a few of them, they were able t stretch their food supplies and survive for the past few months.

But food always runs out.

Now, their supplies were almost gone.

Last week, that skinny boy in a baseball cap had rushed into the office building and brought news about nearby supplies. They took a risk and went out once. They made it back safely, but it was a close call. They had almost lost their lives.

And now, just one week later, the supplies they worked so hard to get were nearly gone again.

If they didn’t do something soon, they only had two outcomes left.

Either they would starve to death or they would wait for the zombies to break into the building and end up as zombies.

At first, they had planned to stay here forever.

The building was tall. As long as they guarded the entrances, they thought they would be safe.

But last week, a zombie had climbed straight up the smooth outer wall and reached their floor.

That’s when they realized the world had completely changed.

Every day, they watched from the windows. The ivy outside grew differently each day. Everything was evolving. Even the zombies.

Only they were still the same.

When Robin’s group passed by today, it felt like their last chance to escape.

Do we help them?Dylan asked.

Robin thought for a moment, remembering that strange feeling from earlier. There’s something off about someone in there. I want to find out who it is.

She felt like someone was trying to see right through her, attempting to peer into her past.

Robin’s mental strength was stronger; that person hadn’t succeeded.

But this attempt had caught her attention.

Someone who could even brush against the edge of her mental barrier was not to be taken lightly,

Yeah,Robin said calmly. We help.

She picked a grappling claw from the weapons rack and looked up. From here to about twenty stories u

-the rope might not be long enough.

But for Robin, that wasn’t really a problem.

With a sharp click, the steel claw shot upward. Right in front of everyone’s shocked eyes, it pierced through a window more than a dozen floors up and locked in place.

Oh my God, what is that thing in her hand? It looks like something out of a novel!

It looks strong, but the rope seems too short. Can she really make it up?

If I remember right, that floor is full of zombies.

One person said it with a pale face, and the others instantly grew Worried.

Robin pressed the button again. The rope snapped tight and pulled her body straight into the air.

Just before it reached its shortest length, she arrived at the window.

Inside, it was packed with zombies.

Hearing the noise, pale hands covered with dark veins reached out from the window, one after another.

Their gray eyes were full of hunger.

Foodfood

They were starving.

Damn. That’s a lot,Robin muttered, raising an eyebrow.

Midair, she adjusted her body before those zombies and dove straight into the swarm.

What is she doing?!someone upstairs shouted in shock.

The next second, they saw her step on a zombie’s head. With a powerful stomp, the skull shattered.
