Chapter 85 Test of Loyalty

“You came here on purpose to drive a wedge between us!”

Robin didn’t even look at him. She turned to the others instead.

“Do you want to come with me?”

The group froze for a second, then nodded all at once.

“Very well.” Robin smiled and pointed straight at Ronald. “Kill him.”

Ronald’s whole body shook. He stared at her, shocked and furious.

“What are you talking about? Are you crazy?!”

“If you kill him, I’ll consider letting you join me,” Robin said calmly. “You have three minutes. Starting

now.”

She didn’t wait for their reaction. She turned and walked out with Ella and the others.

Ronald took a step back, gripping the metal pipe in his hand. “Y-you wouldn’t dare! I’ll take you all down with me!”

These people had been under his control for a long time. Deep down, some of them had thought about this before, but now that the moment had come, they hesitated.

“I’ve… I’ve never killed anyone…” one young guy said, his voice shaking.

“Me neither,” someone else added. “But don’t forget-Ronald has killed plenty of people before. We stood against him today. If we let him go, who’s to say he won’t come after us later?”

That one sentence hit everyone like a wake-up call.

The zoo was absolutely huge. There were old dorm buildings from before everything fell apart. It could hold thousands of people, easily.

And right now, she needed points. Only with enough points could she trade for the good stuff in the system shop.

But with just her, Ella, and the others, carning that many points would be slow and hard.

More people meant more strength. She needed their strength.

They waited outside for a while. Soon, a man rushed out, covered in blood, his face full of excitement. “He’s dead! We took him down!”

“Yeah, he’s really dead now. Can we come with you?”

“Very good.”

Robin clapped lightly. “Looks like you do have some courage. But if you really want to join me, there’s one

last test.”

“Why is there still a test?”

“That’s not what you said before!”

“Yeah! You said if we killed Ronald, we could follow you! How can you go back on your word?!”

“I said I’d consider it,” Robin replied calmly. “I never said that killing Ronald would guarantee anything.”

She looked at them, her voice steady. “You should understand something. The world isn’t the same anymore. Even if I let you follow me, I have no duty to protect you. You’ll have to rely on yourselves.

“If you’re weak, then no matter who you follow, you’re just dead weight. And I don’t need dead weight.”

She paused, then added, “Of course, if my terms are too harsh I can point you in another direction. You can go to Redwood Military Base. Whether you follow me or go there-it’s your choice.”

“Military base?!”

“When did that happen? Why didn’t we know about it?”

“If there’s a base, does that mean there are no zombies there? And food?”
