Chapter 93 The Gap Shows
Tim stared at them in surprise. Their progress was obvious.
It took them the whole morning, but they finally cleared every zombie on the top floor.
They were exhausted. Completely wiped out.
Their muscles ached all over. But worse than that, their minds were drained. Staying alert for so long had worn them down.
Still, when they looked back at the floor covered in dead zombies, a strong sense of pride rose up. It pushed away some of the pain and fatigue.
“Robin!” Travis ran over, excited. “We did it! We actually did it!”
Steven and Jerome glanced at each other. The small tension they had earlier was long gone. Working together had smoothed everything out.
Steven let out a short laugh. “Guess you’re not as bad as I thought.”
Jerome snorted. “You think you’re the only one who’s good?”
They traded a few words, but when their eyes met, they both smiled.
“Nice work,” Robin said as she walked over. “There were 32 zombies on this floor. Dylan killed twelve. Steven killed six. Jerome and Abe each killed five. Travis killed four.”
Hearing her list the numbers so clearly, everyone froze for a moment.
She really had been keeping track.
But then something else hit them even harder. In the middle of that chaos, they hadn’t noticed Dylan had taken down that many by himself.
Robin frowned slightly. “Starting this afternoon, Dylan won’t be joining your zombie runs. I’ll give him a different task.”
He was basically a cheat code. Walking into a group of zombies was like strolling through his own backyard. It was too easy for him, and it messed up everyone else’s training.
Dylan shrugged. He didn’t really care about that.
But he did care about food.
“Didn’t you say whoever kills the most gets to eat as much as they want?” plate in front of him. It looked no different from anyone else’s.

Robin gave a cold smile. “And you still have the nerve to ask? You’re an ability user. Of course it’s easier for you to kill zombies.”
Hearing that, Jerome and the others all looked at Dylan in surprise.

Dylan paused for a second, then quickly understood what Robin was doing.
Finished
His–immunity to zombies was way too powerful. By saying this, she was giving everyone a reasonable explanation before they started asking questions.
“Well, well,” Jerome said, shaking his head. “Didn’t expect you to be an ability user. You hid that pretty well.”
Robin’s explanation worked. The others quickly accepted it.
Jerome grinned and joked, “So what’s your ability? How come none of us noticed anything?”
Dylan replied calmly, “Oh, I just awakened it. I can block a zombie’s sense of smell. That way, they can’t detect me.”
That made sense.
Everyone suddenly understood. No wonder he could kill so many zombies. Sure, they felt a little jealous that he had an ability, but once they realized his results came from that advantage, they felt a bit better.
After all, they had all come from the same place. Standing out too much could easily make others uneasy. Even if it wasn’t jealousy, it still didn’t feel great.
Dylan said it so naturally, without the slightest hint of guilt, as if it were completely true.
That afternoon, they moved down to the next floor.
There were four more zombies on the sixth floor than on the top floor. But their team had dropped from five people to four.
Without Dylan, the pressure on them shot up.
Ella and Dane had to step in several times just to keep them from getting bitten.
“Ha… ha…”
Their muscles ached all over, pushed to the limit. But the zombies kept coming, one after another.
