Chapter 94 Learning to Fight Together
Their mood dropped a little.

Robin saw it right away. “Instead of feeling down, think about how to get better. Yes, people with abilities have an edge. But that doesn’t mean they’re always stronger than you.”
She glanced at them. “Tim is a regular person too. Do you think he’s weak?”
The four of them shook their heads.
Robin continued, “You all are too spread out. There are way more zombies than you. If you get separated, they’ll rush you like crazy. You need to stay together.
“Steven, you’re decisive, but too reckless.
“Jerome, you can land a killing blow every time. But you take too long to observe. In a real fight, you won‘ get that much time.
“Abe, you’re good at defense. But sometimes, the best defense is a strong attack.
“Travis, your moves are unpredictable. That’s great for ambushes. But your timing is off, and it can put you in danger.”
She looked at all four of them. “Each of you has your own style. You all have flaws, but you also have strengths. That’s rare. I’ll give you thirty minutes. Talk it out. Figure out how to use your strengths together.”
Tim looked at Robin with clear admiration.
In such a short time, she had already figured out everyone’s fighting style and summed it up so well. That sharp eye and quick judgment–she was a natural leader.
The four of them fell into thought.
Thirty minutes passed quickly. They had rested enough.
From their expressions, they were ready for the next fight.
The asphalt road was stained with dark, dried blood. Cracks ran across the ground. Broken limbs and remains were scattered everywhere.
Cars were twisted and piled up along the road. It looked like a massive pileup. Many vehicles were crushed out of shape, especially in the back. The people inside had been smashed beyond recognition.
Zombies wandered between the wrecks. They reached through shattered windows, pulling out chunks of
flesh and stuffing them into their mouths.
Rumble…
Tires rolled over the road as several vehicles drove in and came to a stop not far away.

A few people got out, scanning the area with caution.

“There’s no way through.” One of the men shook his head. “The road ahead is completely blocked. Clearing all these cars won’t be easy. Looks like we’ll have to go on foot.”
The man speaking had a square face and a strong build. He looked to be in his forties. His sharp/features gave him a serious, upright air.
“Martin, you’re not joking, right?”
Someone behind him stepped forward, frowning. “We’re still more than ten miles from Redwood Military Base. If we walk that far, how long will it take us?”
Martin looked troubled. “There’s no road left. If we really want to drive, we’d have to spend time clearing all these cars. But that would delay us a lot.”
“Idiot.” A mocking laugh came from behind them.
Martin Bax’s face darkened. He turned around. “What did you say?”
“What did I say?”
A man in his twenties jumped down from a car, his face full of scorn. “I said you’re an idiot. Didn’t catch that? Want me to say it again?”
Martin’s eyes grew cold. “Mr. Clark, this is a special situation. I know you have a bad temper, but please don’t stir up trouble. It’s bad for team unity.”
“I’m stirring trouble?”
Xane Clark let out a cold laugh. “Yeah, I am. What are you going to do about it? You’re just one of my dad’s lackeys. What right do you have to talk back to me?”
“Team unity? What are you people to me? Why should I care about sticking together with you?”
His words were so arrogant that everyone’s faces turned red with anger. Martin clenched his fists tight.
