Sebastian stared at her for a long time before letting out a bitter laugh. "You're an idiot. You're the only one who thinks I'm perfect."

Isla fell silent for a long time. Finally, tears brimming in her eyes, she whispered, "You are perfect at everything, except for the fact that you don't like me."

Tears streamed down Isla's face. "I stole it! What does that have to do with you?"

"I still enabled it," Sebastian replied softly. "I wronged you, and I wronged Emma. It's my fault."

Hearing that name instantly ignited Isla's fury. She pointed a trembling finger at her chest. "Why is it always about her?! You came here to apologize to me! Let me tell you, I can't stand it when you treat other girls well! I can't stand seeing you with someone else! Do you have any idea how devastated I was when you got together with Emma? And then you came back looking like a ghost, half-dead from the torment she put you through! Do you know how much that hurt me?! I never even wanted to raise my voice at you, I couldn't bear to be mad at you! What right did she have to treat you like that?!"

Isla broke down, sobbing uncontrollably.

Sebastian sat there, completely stunned by her outburst. It took him a moment to process it before he awkwardly reached out to hand her a tissue.

She slapped it away. "I wanted to ruin her! I wanted to get revenge! She stole you away and then didn't even treat you right!"

Sebastian stared at her in shock. "What happened to me... had nothing to do with her."

"Stop!" Isla glared at him through her tears. "Stop defending her!"
