Chapter 510 The Trap

She sat firmly on the sofa, watching the men writhe around like worms.

The atmosphere in the room hit a fever pitch. Sandra leaned in. “See anyone you like?”

“No.”

“Not even one?”

“None of them is as hot as my husband.”

Sandra choked on that for a second, but looking back at Norman’s face, she had to admit it was the truth. Not many guys could compete with him.

“Then why are you watching so intently?”

“Just because the meat at home is good doesn’t mean I can’t look at the other dishes. It’s good to keep perspective.”

I’ve got nothing to say to that, Sandra thought.

Tammy enjoyed the performance, sipping a glass of juice and critiquing their moves. Once her curiosity was satisfied, she stood up to leave.

Cherlene got up too. “I’ll walk you out. Think of it as an apology for earlier.”

Tammy didn’t refuse. Sandra was going to join them, but an old friend she hadn’t seen in ages cornered her, so she told Tammy to go ahead.

As they walked out, Cherlene tried to strike up a conversation, but Tammy stayed cold. Cherlene’s face twisted for a split second, but then she thought of something and relaxed.

“Come back and play again sometime. I’ll introduce you to some other guys.”

Tammy didn’t answer.

Suddenly, Cherlene looked behind her, acting surprised. “Sandra? What are you doing here?”

Tammy instinctively turned her head. A sharp pain shot through the back of her neck, like a needle prick. Her expression shifted instantly, and she swung her hand back in a massive arc.

The force was enough to send the attacker flying. The man let out a yelp of pain as he hit the floor, struggling to get back up.

Tammy touched the back of her neck. It stung. When she pulled her hand away, there was a smear of blood on her palm.

They drugged me.

“You’re dead.”

Killing intent flared in her eyes. She lunged forward and grabbed the man by the throat. Just as she was about to snap his neck, a wave of weakness hit her. Her vision blurred, and her strength vanished. She shook her head, trying to stay conscious, but the world spun. She staggered a few steps and collapsed.

“Cough… cough!”

The man scrambled away from her, gasping for air and looking at her like she was a monster. “Holy shit! I thought I was dead! Cherlene, where the hell did you find this freak?”

“You’re useless. You can’t even handle one woman?“–

“Screw you! She doesn’t have the strength of a normal woman! My neck is killing me!”

His neck hurt, and his face was already swelling up. Nobody would believe a girl almost killed him. Pure rage took over, and he raised his foot to stomp on her, but Cherlene stopped him.

“Are you crazy? Stop!”

“She did this to me! I can’t get a hit in?”

“Not now! The heavy hitters upstairs are looking for a gift tonight. If you mess up her face, I’m done for!”

“Shut up and help me carry her!”

The man grumbled but turned her over. When he saw Tammy’s face clearly, he froze. He’d been so busy trying to stick her with the needle that he hadn’t noticed how she actually looked.

She was stunning. No wonder Cherlene went through all this trouble. He couldn’t resist running a hand over her cheek. “This one is something else.”

Cherlene glared at him. “Don’t touch. Once the guys upstairs are done with her, you can do whatever you want. But not now.”

“Fine. But make sure I get a turn. I’m not taking a beating for nothing.”

“Deal.”

Cherlene had hated Tammy’s dismissive attitude from the start, so she didn’t care what happened to her. The two of them hauled the unconscious Tammy into the elevator and headed for the penthouse.

There was a high–end banquet on the top floor tonight. The guests were the kind of people you didn’t say no to. Cherlene acted as a scout for them, but the manager upstairs hadn’t liked any of her usual girls and told her to find something top–tier.

She had set up tonight’s party specifically to trap Sandra, but after seeing Flower, she changed her mind. Someone this perfect would definitely keep the people upstairs happy. That was her ticket to the inner
