Chapter 527 The River of Life
“But this is a wealthy district. Rich people already have plenty of soccer fields, and they don’t let the poo inside.”
“That’s not right! Those kids are so pitiful!”
“Exactly. Pick another spot.”
No matter how wild or impossible their ideas were, Jasper kept up with them. He was patient and offerer solid advice for every single thought they had.
Even Tatiana had to admit she might not have been that patient herself.
Over these three days, the bond between them had deepened significantly. Tatiana finally cleared her schedule and prepared to take the kids out the next day. They specifically wanted to see the animal migration.
They set the itinerary and hired a professional guide.
At four in the morning, Noreville was shrouded in a deep blue mist. The only sound in the hotel corrido was the echo of their footsteps.
Ann rubbed her eyes, clutching her giraffe plushie in one hand and Jasper’s index finger in the other. Hubert was passed out on his father’s shoulder, his sun hat tilted to the side and swaying with every step Jasper took.
‘They’re exhausted and they still want to go,” Tatiana whispered. She reached out to straighten Hubert’s hat. Her fingertips accidentally brushed Jasper’s shoulder, and both of them felt a faint jolt.
Jasper’s eyes darkened. “Did you do that on purpose?”
She glared at him. “Don’t talk nonsense.”
Ann was wide awake and caught the exchange, hiding a giggle behind her hand.
They piled into the car. The SUV sped toward Ambrodone National Park under the stars
‘Mommy! Look!” Ann leaned over Tatiana’s lap and pointed out the window

Even Tatiana was mesmerized.
“Whoa!” Hubert woke up and pressed his face against the window. His breath fogged up

“Don’t spoil them so much,” she said. “You’re giving them everything they ask for. It’s too much.”
He handed the kids their milk and shrugged. “They’re mine. I should spoil them.
Tatiana was speechless. She threw a jab back. “You’re basically a male nanny now, even carrying around the milk. Is the master satisfied?”
She turned her head back to the window.
The man is getting way too comfortable.
The car pulled up to a high ridge. The guide signaled that they could get out to watch.
Jasper set Ann down and turned to see Tatiana already standing there with Hubert. The morning breeze carried the scent of grass and dew.
The scene was breathtaking.
Thousands of wildebeests thundered across the plains, their black bodies moving through the light. Zebra darted between them while giraffes wandered in the distance.
The guide lowered his voice. “Look at the river.”
They raised their binoculars. The herd was gathering at the banks of the Mara River. In the murky water, several crocodiles were drifting silently toward them.
The first wildebeest leaped into the water, followed by a second and a third. Within seconds, the entire herd was a cascading waterfall.
Splashes flew everywhere. A crocodile lunged and snapped its jaws onto a wildebeest’s leg. A cloud of red bloomed on the surface.
‘Whoa!”
The two little ones cried out, completely captivated.
On the far bank, dripping wildebeests pulled themselves up and kept running
Jasper spoke quietly. “Life has to cross dangerous rivers to grow. Even if you know you might get hurt, you have to keep moving forward.”
Tatiana felt a tremor in her chest.
It sounded like he was talking about the animals, but it felt like he was talking about them.
She looked at Jasper and found him staring at her. There was a sincerity in his gaze she hadn’t seen in a long time,
Keep moving forward?
She looked away. They watched a more brutal scene next as a cheetah chased down a stray wildebeest calf
