Chapter 594 The Birthday Gift
“Go home.”
Sherry sniffled, looking entirely unwilling, but she finally turned and left.
Liam rubbed his temples and stepped toward Tatiana. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean for you to see that.”
“It’s fine,” Tatiana said politely. “I understand.”
Anna chimed in, “Don’t worry, sir. We didn’t see a thing.”
Liam gave them a grateful smile. “Thank you.”
He didn’t stay long and headed back into the private room.
Anna, having had her fill of drama, was finally ready to leave. When they went to pay the bill, the server informed them that the meal had already been covered. Furthermore, ten thousand dollars had been credited to Anna’s membership card for future use.
It didn’t take a genius to figure out it was Liam’s doing.
Anna whistled in appreciation. “That’s a man who knows how to handle things. Clean, professional, and leaves no loose ends. Sherry is going to regret losing a man like that for the rest of her life.”
Tatiana, however, found the whole performance by the actress rather interesting.
“I think Liam is actually interested in you,” Anna teased.
“If even you can see it, then it’s probably fake.”
“What do you mean by that?”
Tatiana just smiled and didn’t elaborate.
A man in a high position doesn’t let his emotions show that easily. He was making it far too obvious.
There was likely an angle he was playing.
Still, it played right into her hands.
After parting ways with Anna, Tatiana went home.
Gordon was already resting. Ann was busy drawing, and Hubert was tinkering with a small machine. Tatiana watched them, a soft smile touching her lips as she walked over.
“Mommy!”
The two little ones swarmed her, eager to share their day.
But as Tatiana listened, she felt a pang of guilt. Because their photos had been leaked, she had kept them inside for their own safety. Even though the house had everything they needed, it wasn’t the same as being

“Do you want to go out?
The kids shook their heads. “No, Mommy. We’re happy at home!”
She reached out and tapped their noses.
“Liars. Don’t lie to me.”
Hubert looked down guiltily, glancing at his sister.
Since they were caught, Ann spoke up plainly. “Mommy, we want to go shopping.”
“For what?”
“It’s almost Great–grandpa’s birthday. We want to buy him a present.”
Tatiana froze. It finally clicked, the day after tomorrow was Gordon’s eightieth birthday.
She had been so busy she’d nearly forgotten.
Gordon never brought it up. In the past, the Jacksons would have started preparing a month in advance for a massive celebration. People would have been knocking down their doors to get an invite.
She took a deep breath. “Alright. I’ll take you out.“.
Jasper wasn’t here, but she would make sure Gordon had a proper birthday.
The next day, she dressed them in matching hats and masks. Ann was in a jumper and Hubert in overalls. She held their hands as they headed out.
Having been away from Dalliston for so long, the kids weren’t used to the noise. Their eyes were glued to the windows. Unlike the quiet peace of Bellwood, Dalliston was bustling, crowded, and fast.
Tatiana took them to the largest shopping mall in the city. She didn’t give them suggestions; she wanted
Γ them to pick things out themselves. She handed each of them a card with no limit.
“Pick whatever you want, but choose carefully. You only get one shot.”
They nodded vigorously.
They even made a game out of it. Keeping their gifts a secret from each other until the big day. They wanted Gordon to choose his favorite.
Tatiana laughed when she heard their plan. Gordon would likely say he loved them both equally to avoid hurting anyone’s feelings. She didn’t stop them, though. She agreed to let them shop separately, assigning two bodyguards to follow each child closely.
“Meet back at the first–floor cafe in an hour.”
