Chapter 237 Four Girls, One Red Flag
Ares pressed his lips into a thin line. “No.”

Dorian raised an eyebrow at the sharp–jawed man beside him. “You see Ruby today? That bold, summer- glow look? She was out there smiling like sunshine on the damn freeway. I bet the moment she stepped outside Vale Group’s front door, at least half the men walking by lost their souls.”
Right as he said it, the elevator dinged open and two groups of employees stepped out.
“Holy shit,” someone gasped, looking out the glass entrance. “Check out those four women. They don’t work here, do they?”
“One of them’s wearing a Vale Group ID badge–maybe she’s with us. But the rest? Definitely not.”
“Thought so. No way our office has women that fine.”
“You see the one in the black spaghetti strap dress? She’s got that wild thing going on–hot enough to mak a guy wanna pull the stars outta the sky just to see her smile again.”
The one in black? Ruby.
“I kinda like the girl with the ID. She’s got that first–crush face. You know–soft, sweet. No idea what department she’s in.”
“I’m vibing with the one in white. Straight–up fairytale energy. Or the tall one in that orange set–man, she’s fire.”
Meanwhile, Clark and Talia had just reached the lobby and caught the tail end of the chatter. Clark slapped the shoulder of the guy who’d spoken up.
“Yo, back off. That girl in orange? She’s my girlfriend.”
The dude blinked. “You sure about that? If she’s yours, how come she’s out here waiting on another girl?”
“Whatever, man. I’m working on it,” Clark muttered, pulling out his phone and snapping a few photos of Arden and the others.
The car was Isla’s–a cherry–red luxury sports car that practically screamed attention. She’d swung by the mall to pick up Ruby and Celine.
They were the kind of girls who turned heads without even trying–effortlessly beautiful, young, full of that unbothered energy that came from not having to worry about bills or responsibilities. Add Isla’s million–dollar car and her carefree laugh while leaning against the hood in heels, and it was no wonder the crowd couldn’t stop staring.
It was the end of the workday. People poured out of buildings, eyes locked on the glam squad outside.
Inside, both Dorian and Ares were watching too, their expressions unreadable. No one could tell what they were thinking–but clearly, they weren’t unaffected.
People passing by greeted Dorian one after another. “Mr. Vale.”

He gave them all a brief nod, but his gaze never strayed from Arden
She looked different now. Lighter. Like she’d finally shaken something. Her oor wat sedios it was strength that didn’t need to raise its voice.
Ares‘ eyes found Ruby–her black dress, bold makeup, and dark eyes lined with fure. Her presencE WAS magnetic.
Ruby glanced over, saw Ares for a heartbeat… and then looked away, her expression easy, sorbed didn’t even meet his eyes.
She just kept laughing with Isla and the others like nothing had happened
Honestly? Letting go wasn’t a bad thing. It wasn’t about giving up. It was about peace.
Not chasing after someone who wouldn’t look back. The evening breeze picked up. Arden snded
“Let’s hit the market,” Isla said, opening the back door of the car.
“Did I keep you waiting?” Arden asked.
“Nah. We timed it just right.”
Isla took the wheel. Celine claimed shotgun. Arden and Ruby climbed into the backseat.
As Celine rolled down the window, she glanced toward the front steps of Vale Group
“Hey–look, Dorian and Ares are coming out!”
Arden and Ruby both turned their heads. Sure enough, two men in perfectly tailored suits were heading straight toward them.
“They’re probably talking shop. Doesn’t mean they’re here for us,” Arden said calmly. Besides, were noe exactly connected anymore”
Isla gave one quick look and started the car. The red sports car roared away like it had something to prove
Ares caught Ruby’s glance–just for a second.
But it was cool, distant. The feeling hit him fast. Gone before it could settle. He and Dorian got into tharin black Maybach,
From the front, Lucien glanced in the mirror. “Where to, boss?”
Dorian’s eyes were on the red car, already a blur in the distance. He opened his mouth…
“Follow Celine’s car,” Ares cut in first.
Dorian turned toward him. “Well, well. Thought you didn’t care
