Everything Was a Deal Until Divorce
Chapter 282 Wrong Girl
“Did you sleep well last night?” Dorian asked.
Bonnie nearly squeaked, caught off guard. “Pretty… good, Mr. Vale.
Something was off. The voice wasn’t right.
Then came the perfume–strong, artificial, nothing like Arden’s light jasmine scent.
Dorian frowned, lifted his gaze.

The moment he saw it wasn’t her face, his whole demeanor dropped. “Who are you? Who let you in?”
1–I’m Bonnie, from the project team,” she stammered, blushing furiously. “I heard you were looking for someone who could cook. I’m trained. I’m good in the kitchen.”
“I asked for Arden. Who said you could come up?”
His voice was ice now. “I ran into her near the stairs. She said I could come.”
Dorian let out a short laugh. “Get out. Send Lucien in.”
Bonnie froze. Get out?
That tone was brutal. She stayed rooted in place, confused. “Did I… do something wrong?”
“If you’re not gone in three seconds, you’re fired.”
Bonnie snapped out of it. She turned to leave but couldn’t help herself, “Mr. Vale, I really do cook well…”
Lucien had just walked in, holding a warm cup of milk. The shout hit his ears like a grenade.
His heart jumped. Surely that isn’t meant for her?Wait–he waited outside her place all night just for dinner, and now he’s yelling at her? Seriously? That can’t be for her.
Then he saw Bonnie. Oh. That make more sense.
“Bonnie, who said you could walk into the executive office without clearance?” Lucien asked.
She looked miserable. “Arden told me to come.”
“Mr. Vale didn’t even give me a chance to explain. He just yelled at me.”
Lucien was done. “Then you better get moving. And tell Arden to come up. Now.”
Bonnie bolted. Dorian growled, “Lucien, get in here.”
Lucien hurried in. “Yes, sir?”
“Who told you to let her in?”

“I went to heat some milk for Mrs. Vale. I turned around and she was already inside.”
“Call Arden. Tell her to get here immediately.”
Lucien pulled out his phone, but paused, “Sir, why not call her yourself?”
Dorian shot him a look. “If I could get through, would I be asking you?”
…She blocked you?”
“Shut up.”
Lucien stayed silent. He started dialing.

Just then, Bonnic stormed back in, face red, straight at Arden.. “You did this on purpose, didn’t you?”
Talia jumped up, pulling her back. “Bonnie, are you crazy? What is wrong with you?”
Arden was confused. Her phone had been ringing nonstop–but with Bonnie yelling, she hadn’t picked up
Meanwhile, Dorian was getting impatient. That ringtone kept playing, unanswered. His face darkened by the second.
Lucien was sweating under the pressure. “Boss, maybe she just doesn’t want to talk to you…”
Dorian snapped, “Call Warren. Tell him to send Arden up now.”
“Yes, sir.”
Lucien dialed.
Warren was about to check what the chaos outside was about when the phone rang. He picked up quickly. “Lucien?”
“Warren, is Arden at her desk?”
“Yeah, she’s here.”
“Then why the hell is Bonnie upstairs? Mr. Vale is pissed.”
Warren glanced outside and started putting things together. “I’ll send her up right now,”
“What’s with all that noise?”
“Uh, Bonnie and Arden… are having some kind of argument.”
Lucien froze. “What?”
“They’re… arguing. Looks heated.”
“You’re telling me Arden is arguing with someone?”

Lucien nearly dropped the phone. “How’s her mood? Is she crying? She better not be crying.”
“Not yet. Her face is a little red though. I’ll send you a video.”
Lucien said, “You know how to handle this, right? Mr. Vale asked for Arden personally. If she ends up upset, that’s your career on the line.”
