Fake Daughter Is The Real Legend (Iris Sutton) novel Chapter 11

Chapter 11 A Bad Intention

Chapter 11 A Bad Intention

A few minutes later, Emma emerged wearing a fluffy designer dress

Looking like a living doll.

She happily grabbed Iris’s hand.

The entire way downstairs, she chatted nonstop.

The driver dropped them off at the nearest luxury mall.

Iris remembered there was a newly opened indoor children’s park on the fifth floor.

Safe.

Popular.

Perfect for a child recovering from surgery.

With their looks, they attracted attention everywhere they went.

More than one passerby turned around for a second glance.

When they reached the third floor, Iris stopped at a dessert kiosk.

Directly across from it stood a well-known women’s fashion boutique.

Inside the store were two very familiar figures.

Olivia Sutton was shopping with Vanessa that afternoon.

While Vanessa disappeared into a fitting room, Olivia casually glanced around the mall.

Then she froze.

A familiar figure stood near a gelato kiosk not far away.

Iris.

Dressed in a simple white hoodie.

And holding hands with a little girl dressed like a princess.

Olivia narrowed her eyes.

The two of them had purchased only one ice cream.

Iris was crouched down, saying something to the child.

A smug smile spread across Olivia’s face.

“Could she be working as a nanny now?”

How pathetic.

Even sharing an ice cream required permission from the child’s family.

So this was what life looked like after getting kicked out of the Sutton Tamily.

Vanessa noticed them too.

A sneer appeared on her face.

“Serves her right. That’s what happens when you poison someone.”

Olivia lowered her eyes obediently.

“Mom, I think my sister was just overwhelmed when you and Dad found me. She wasn’t thinking clearly.”

“Enough about her.” Vanessa waved dismissively. “We’re here to buy clothes for you.”

She grabbed another dress and headed back into the fitting room.

The moment she disappeared, Olivia stood. There was no way she was going to pass up an opportunity like this.

Straightening her brand-new designer dress, she walked toward Iris with a sweet smile.

“Sis.”

Her voice carried just enough concern to attract attention.

“Are things really that bad now? If you can’t afford ice cream, I’ll buy you one.”

She glanced at the little girl.

“No need to steal a child’s dessert.”

Olivia ordered a chocolate cone and held it out.

Iris was in the middle of explaining to Emma that she was only allowed one bite when another ice cream suddenly appeared in front of her.

Without missing a beat, Iris looked at it and said: “You should eat it.”

Olivia blinked. “What?”

Iris’s expression remained calm.

“Chocolate is good for brain function.”

A pause.

You clearly need it.”

Ovia nearly choked

Several nearby shoppers overheard the exchange.

One girl whispered to her friend.

“That white hoodie is gorgeous.”

“Seriously. And she’s stunning.”

They looked at Olivia’s designer dress.

“Honestly? The hoodie looks more expensive.”

The corners of Iris’s lips lifted slightly.

The hoodie was an anniversary edition from IR.

Only one had ever been made.

The design theme was parental love and blessings for a child’s future.

It had been a gift from Richard and Eleanor.

And she genuinely loved it.

Olivia rolled her eyes internally.

What terrible taste.

How could that plain hoodie compare to the newest dress from a luxury runway collection?

Then her gaze dropped to the melting ice cream in her hand.

An idea formed.

“Sis, just take it. She stepped forward.

When neither Iris nor Emma reached for it, Olivia “accidentally” stumbled.

The cone flew from her hand.

Chocolate ice cream splattered directly across Iris’s white hoodie.

Perfectly.

A large dark stain spread across the fabric.

Olivia immediately looked pleased with herself.

Reaching into her designer handbag, she pulled out two hundred-dollar bills and tossed them at Iris.

“Buy yourself another one.”

Her smile sharpened. “Keep the change.”

The bills fluttered to the floor.

Olivia covered her mouth and giggled.

“Don’t be stubborn, Iris.” She crossed her arms. “I’m the real Sutton heiress now. I have more money than 1 could ever spend and more clothes than I could ever wear.”

Her eyes dripped with contempt.

“But you’re just the daughter of some poor family from the countryside.”

She pointed at the cash.

“That money could probably feed your whole family for a week.”

The insults continued.

“Actually…”

She looked Iris up and down.

“Do you all take turns wearing the same clothes? You should use the money to buy a few extras.”

What Olivia wanted most was simple.

She wanted to see Iris humbled.

Broken.

Begging.

Emma couldn’t hear everything from her height, but she could tell it wasn’t nice.

Nobody got to bully Pretty Sister.

Her cheeks puffed up as she prepared to defend Iris.

Then Iris suddenly looked down. “Did you finish your ice cream?”

Emma blinked.
